Last year I went here to just have a look around to looking to buy a car with my girlfriend. When we arrived we had to sign in and park up but were told we could take a look around. Almost as soon as we got out the car we were pestered by a sales assistant who told us that for their security we had to give some details (which was odd). We had made the trip so couldn't be bothered to argue much but still made It obvious we wern't happy giving all the details when we only wanted to look but the assistant kept telling us we can only see the cars if we did this and that as soon as he had took all the info he would help us find what we were after (which would have been useful due to the size of the place). After this phase though he just turned around to us and said ok if you have a look and see what you like come back when you find something. This pissed us off so we spent a couple of mins looking then bought a car elsewhere.
Since then we have discovered that most people just wondered around without giving details and that there were no 'security issues'.
Of course when put with the fact that there are excessive admin charges, the staff know nothing about even their own stock and they just don't like people looking at their cars without buying the same day I would give this useless company 1* at a push and suffice to say I would never go back even if it was to have a look around.
I bought a car from these guys a few weeks back, during the
negotiations it transpired that the car only came with one key and so I asked
the salesman how much it would cost for a new key. He went away for some time
and came back with a figure saying that this was the going rate and I could
go to my dealer and get one. The quoted figure was about £80 short of the real
figure basically an out and out lie After finding out the truth about the price I called back
and spoke to one of the senior guys, he admitted this was not good enough and
that he would arrange a new key which I could buy from them at the original
stated price. I followed this up just yesterday and got a call back from Matt
Jones today. It seems the original guy has left the company (who can blame
him?) and that they are unwilling to do anything the deal is done
full stop! The process as a whole was painfully slow also go prepared
to get your insurance sorted yourself. I was offered 7 days free insurance and
was sat at a phone to make a call, after several attempts I asked if I was
using the phone correctly they intimated that I was an idiot for not knowing
how to use a phone then admitted it was not working. I then was given another
phone, spent 30 minutes on hold and was promptly cut-off. After then using my
own company I let the senior sales guy know how much that insurance company had
let the process down, he just shrugged and said that it was nothing to do with
them! The final hand-over was very slow too As a whole the process was a nightmare and I will never ever
use this company again!
