This place is my go to restaurant when I fancy a ruby in Weymouth.
The food is excellent and any particular requests are never a problem. They have Cobra on tap and Kingfisher in bottles.
The meal we had on the weekend was up to their normal excellent standards. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant with soft lighting all round and a beautiful tropical fish tank to complete the look.
The Balti House is extremely popular, especially on the weekends, so if you are thinking of going the best advice as ever is to book in advance. A call in the day is normally fine but don't be surprised if their is a lengthy wait if you turn up off the cuff.

This is a great Indian decorated very tastefully unlike a lot of 'contemporary indian restaurants' that feel the need to fill the room with horrid blue lights like a car from Pimp My Ride. The lighting is dim, but the atmosphere is very friendly and unpretentious. As for the food, I couldn't fault it.

Friendly welcome by very smartly dressed staff.
Menu choices unusual but arrive well presented (see picture) in good portions. My choice was delicious, chicken perfectly cooked.
Tempting dessert menu but too full! Would have liked to try the mango cheesecake!
Proper hot towels and mint choccie at the end, so all good for me and will be returning.

This pleasant Indian restaurant is located slightly away from the centre of town in a more difficult to find location at the back of the major shopping streets. It is still within easy walking distance of the town centre and is close to local car parking at the Swannery. Although it is in a less desirable location, this restaurant is worth a visit for its tasty cuisine and good service. We took our children here when they were very small and found that the staff were friendly and helpful and were in no way put out by the presence of children, even though the restaurant does have a more adult environment. The choice of food is very good - standard Indian fare, but deliciously flavoured and well presented.
