Nicos has rebranded his restaurant in the last year and updated the menu to a more modern Greek style. The food and service are still great though and the classic greek favourites such as the village dips and kleftiko, etc are still prominent on the menu.
The misic nights seem to be more frequent these days and are usually booked out well in advance.
A great local restaurant suitable for all occassions from an ad hoc weekday meal to a celebration dinner.
Nic's Acropolis Taverna is a really busy Greek restaurant in New Eltham so it's best to book a table because a walk in visit may lead to disappointment if it's full. There's full wheelchair access on the ground floor only and a disabled toilet. The menu is mouth wateringly varied with some wonderful Greek dishes that we'd never even heard of. There's a well stocked bar and the staff are keen to accomodate your every need including dietary requirements. A very pleasant place to dine, with a friendly atmosphere and middle range prices.
The Acropolis Taverna is a wonderful Greek restaurant which can get very busy at peak times. Don't let the outside put you off as it looks a bit cheesy but it really is worth a visit.
The extent of the menu is good and the food is excellent. You'll be wanting to try something different every time you visit!
Service is friendly and polite, very accommodating and the staff make you feel like a valued guest. Prices are slightly above average but very good value as they serve extremely large portions here!.
The internal decor is clean and bright with a Greek theme to it, the occasional statue and column dotted around!
Every now and then they have a live singer, all in all a good night out and highly recommended!
