Beautiful ambiance, comfortable and really friendly staff.
Really enjoyed the large outdoor area with heaters and greenery.
Only had a beer and a starter - but thoroughly enjoyed both.
Most notable about this place is the cosy yet classy atmosphere that is set. The candles a very thoughtful touch. A favourite local for a Sunday yarn.
A very roomy chrome'n'wood bar with a huge beer garden and function room and a wide selection of beers and wines.
But really, the prices are astronomical. £18 for a roast dinner? When the equivalently-priced gastropub Anglesea Arms is round the corner, but has a much wider menu range?
Come for the beer, but you'll need an expense account for the dinner.
Good pub, nice beer garden, cozy fire, wide-ranging menu and nice service.
The Thatched House has it all, and is a good place to go for lunch or after work drink.
It also has wireless so we have been known to perch there for an afternoon brainstorming.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
This place has undergone a massive refurbishment and what was a really nice pub is now an amazing pub. The outdoor area is lovely, I can verify the lamb burger is fantastic and the bar tenders are super nice. This is my work local, and much cheaper than its competitor down the street.
Whenever I'm back home I usually head to The Thatched for dinner. I have always had good food there and the wine list is always interesting. Good service and a nice ambient atmosphere!! A lot better food than the nearby Olive Tree!
Lovely big wood tables and candlelit ambiance. Ok wine list. Nice selection of vegetarian dinners. Stay away from the deserts, I beg of you! they leave so much to be desired.
The third pub that I go to in the area and all is o.k. here. I always find it a bit dark but that is the only negative I can think of, other than that is all works and is very much a local's pub that is hall way between gastro and traditional pub. Large wooden tables and chairs with loads of candles and a big warm fire make this place the sort that you might pop into for a couple and end up having a session as you got comfy and couldn't be bother to move. Food and drinks are all good and reasonably priced for the area which is something that the owners are very conscious of providing. I think that it is very much a community pub and they are happy to keep it that way. That said it is in no way exclusive to the community and you will be made more than welcome.
I love this place, in fact all of us at Rushes Florist love it here, the prices are not too high but you do pay for good quality food and this is just what you get here. The owners are really nice and always make us feel at home, this place is a real must.
My favourite pub in Ravenscourt Park area. Very friendly staff, great chilled atmosphere. There is seating in the conservatory and outdoors for the more sunny days. Have sampled a few of the dishes from the menu and although pricey find them to be delicious and generously portioned!
What a great place this is!I went there last weekend and could not believe I was sitting outside in the middle of quite a main road in london. Had a picnic in Ravenscourt park and then just nipped over the road to this oasis. The inside is done very beautifully with its wooden floors, large wooden tables, small wooden tables, funky retro leather chairs by the fire place and is spacious but at the same time feels homely with its eccentric twists, such as over the top tall chairs, wonderful huge wooden cat in the back room which is very popular to hire out. I did not stay in for too long as wanted to smoke and was sunny but I know in the winter it looks glorious as when I used to walk back from work I would see the glitter of candles in the distance, huge church candles everywhere, very difficult to resist popping in for a drink. Now back to the present time, outside was fantastic, again there were the eccentric twists, such as a pedlar cab sitting outside, beautiful mosaic tables for the more intimate drinkers/diners and then bigger wooden tables, then to top it all off incase it happens to rain or more shade is needed and a great place to do barbeques there is a great shack like place with a few tables underneath so you can imagine being on a beach in Thailand. In terms of food I did not try anything but was told by the many people I spoke to, great party atmosphere at the shack that the food was great. The house wine I got was delicious and reasonably priced, around £12. Highly recommend giving this place a go, staff were very friendly.
