Dinner here was pretty good, though with one or two slight disappointments.
When we arrived, the staff were friendly and the restaurant itself is modern and pleasant inside.
The poppadoms and pickles were excellent and drinks were cold.
A fish starter was breadcrumbed and deep fried - not a traditional Indian style of cooking, and was tasteless.
The lamb tikka masala main course was tasty but unfortunately the lamb was very tough.
Finally the bread was a bit doughy - not bad, just not brilliant. Which is a shame because this place, with it's great menu and range of interesting dishes, friendly staff, and high-end feel, seems like it should be.
We used to adore this place, we must have been here 20 times over the years but the last 3 (spread over 6 months) have been very very poor. We last went yesterday for a family celebration and out of 6 of us, only 1 said their main dish was nice. It used to be amazing. I am disappointed to now say avoid and go elsewhere.
Service was no good to be honest. Went a couple of times to give them a couple of last chances but i guess thats how it's done. Far better indian cuisines around.
