Fantastic fresh Thai food. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service very friendly and quick without being obtrusive. Veggie tempura is wonderful as is the green Thai curry with the sticky rice. Heat level was just spicy enough. Top Lincoln restaurant.
I was with a group of people and we were desperately seeking a restaurant in Lincoln that served non-fried dishes. After days of fish and chips this small restaurant was a welcome find.
Thailand No1 is nicely decorated and the food is solid. I ordered the Thom Yam which was absolutely delicious. The mushrooms were perfect and the broth was well flavored and fresh tasting. As my main I had the chicken Pad-Ka Praw which was wonderful. The sauce was fragrant and spicy and the dish was perfectly sized for one. My meal was a bargain at 7.50 and I really enjoyed looking through the adorable surrounding shops.
If you have a group of more than 8, Thailand No1 is probably not a very good choice as it is very small. The service was fair and for those ordering take-out, there is a 10% discount!
This is our favourite restaurant in town. The food is gorgeous, the staff are fantastic, Not expensive. Brilliant experience every time. Very recommended.
We visit Thai Number 1 in Lincoln's Bail Gate at lunch times usually as it is very good food, great service and reasonably priced. We went the other day for an evening meal with friends, it was quite busy despite being early, so i would agree it is worth booking if you want to avoid disappointment.
The food then; our friends ordered a red and green curry that came served in stoneware pots resting on matching holders containing candles, so looked very nice, they fully enjoyed theirs, we ordered a set meal for two. The starter was a small feast of all the starters on the menu presented with stunningly artful cut vegetables formed into roses and leaves. The main course consisted of a curry, noodles, spicy fired dish of pork and one of beef and egg fried rice. It was superb and their was probably enough for at least one more person to eat. With beer, soft drinks and the meal, the damage was about £25 per head, unbeatable for quality and price.
One of my favourite restaurants. the food is exquisite and reasonably priced for the amount you get. Would recommend booking a table if you plan to go at a weekend as it can get rather busy
