The best thing about this store is the fact that its very central on Gloucester Road and that it's open until 11pm. Perfect for that last minute alcohol dash or a naughty chocolate fix.

The bad thing is that it's faaar more expensive than it should be. And its actually pretty small and cramped, with not enough room for maneuvering past people adequately. There's also a really small fruit and veg section, and worst of all their bakery is pretty much non existent.

I'm normally not a fan of Tesco. Especially Tesco Express. They seem more evil somehow. But this one on Gloucester Road is annoyingly useful with aggravatingly helpful staff. How dare they?!

The prices are still extortionate compared to Tesco superstores, but when you need coffee, milk, bread and biscuits in can't be beaten for convenience.  If you're in need of butter at 10pm, this store will be reliably alive and kicking when the other food outlets on Gloucester Road are sound asleep.

I wish I could say I have slightly bended the rules to write about a non-independent store because of its dazzling service and vast choice but unfortunately this is not the case.

Once or twice on my way home I have popped into this Tesco, not being able to face the thought of a huge store after work, and have always been left disappointed.  I know it's only a small store but it seems to run out / not have even the basics such as milk or butter.  Though I usually do all my shopping in Tesco I would avoid this one as though it were a swarm of bees and I was covered in honey!

    P.S There's a Sainsbury's up the road a bit which is a lot better.

Tesco express is definitely a good place if you need to stop in for some essential products on your way home! I find that tesco express can be a bit more expensive then the normal tesco branches which is a tad annoying!

They sell quite a lot of things that you would find in the big branches but i always find the staff are a bit rude.

If I can help it, I actually try to avoid shopping in Tesco Express. It's not due to the fact that they have a poor product selection (it's normally good) or that the staff are rude/useless (they're pretty standard Tesco staff) but the prices are EXTORTIONATE! I always heard people say that city centre and/or smaller stores were more expensive, but didn't realise until I had something to compare it to.

I bought a chocolate croissant in a Tesco Extra (big stand-alone superstore out of town) and it was 67pbought one in this Tesco Express and it was £1!!

I only use this now if there is no alternative

Tesco Express is small and expensive. However, it is open till 11pm which is mainly why my friends and i go there for a late-night snack or last-minute alcohol. GOing there late also means you get to watch shoplifters attempt to leave the store successfully - some incidents are 'Dumbest Criminals' programme-worthy. Tesco stores all the basic necessities and is perfectly placed on Gloucester Road.

Tesco Expresses are great little shops that are really handy for all your bits and bobs. Great idea to have little shops as big tescos just take up loads of unnecessary room.

This Tesco Express is a minute's walk from a far bigger Co-op store with a much wider range and lower prices, so you'd be a fool to go in there to do your regular shopping. In its favour its opening hours are longer so if you need that vital item after 10pm or at the crack of dawn on a Sunday it can come in useful. The queues aren't usually too bad either, plus there are self service tills which are quick and fun to use. Well, I think so anyway. Ok I don't get out much.

High prices, and some rude staff are what stops me from going back to tesco express. The prices are double what they are in a local co-op or iceland.

Its quiet handy for the odd thing, I wouldnt do a full shop there, as it only has the more expensive lines. I agree with the prevous reveiwer the staff was rude, the security guard was follwing me all the way round the shop, Like i was some kind of common theif
