good location in telford town centre, prices and rates are reasonable and they have eating areas where the food isnt bad priced either.
can get quie busy and a lot of older children who can skate well are razzing about while others are starting out.
on the whole tho is a nice day out
Not bad! Mostly teenagers. Would advise to go in the day time or a non disco night as it does get busy. Prices are ok. Skates that they hire out not too bad but if you want to learn invest in your own. Building could do with a revamp still stuck in the early eightys. Staff pretty good and helpful. Not the best Ice Rink but I have seen worse.
Enjoy going here with the children for some fun, fare prices . price varies on day and time that you visit .you can have lessons and birthday parties at extra cost.Friday evenings are quite busy and if you have younger children it is best to go early evening or late afternoon midweek to avoid the busier periods. There is a cafe and a viewing area available for none skaters .Parking is close by and generally easy to use.Private lessons are available and also I believe there is a local ice hockey team that practices and plays here on a regular basis. There is also occasionally shows and other events held.
It's always a bit smelly and the approach to get there is pooly lit at night and, well, it's just a bit rough really.
If you've never been ice-skating before I whole-heartedly recommend it. It's great fun. The first time you do it you look totally ridiculous - but so does everyone else. Yes you fall over and yes you get some bruises, but you also get a lot of entertainment for not very much cash.
Why only two stars then? Simple: Telford's ice rink is not exactly the most welcoming place to visit when it's getting dark. It also feels run down and worn - that's never a good feeling when you're visiting a place for some fun. The entrance smells, as do the toilets. Oh, and it's best not to talk about the food that's on offer. If you can imagine what Gornal Wood's Youth Club would be like with an ice rink - this would be it. Not nice.
A great place to have fun and keep fit. You dont even need to own a pair of skates. They are provided for although you do have to pay a small extra fee. They do all sorts of things like disco nights, ice hockey sessions
This is the only ice rink in telford which is why it's so popular. It is expensive and in a bit of a dodgy location. I wouldn't bother going!
