Leaving nyc for good is never fun - being in London helped a little. Though the differences are obvious, tube vs subway, the lovely accent vs none, topshop vs forever21 (you get the picture), I'm super glad that my friends introduced me to this wonderful little joint on a random wednesday night. The bartenders were super friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious - definitely brought on memories of nyc.
The tartinis are these wonderful drinks that cleverly combine your favorite dessert and alcohol, and honestly, it's a tough combination to beat. The naughty violet was the perfect cocktail, beginning with light aroma and the flavorful taste. None of the icky bad alcohol taste afterwards. Also, be warned, they may taste like dessert, but they are definitely lethal.
Gaudily decorated bar, very 90s with scented candles. I've never been to a bar with scented candles, it's kind of off-putting. Are they trying to hide something? Ew! I don't want to think about it!
Hidden away down a small road/lane, it practically empty.
They do do a respectable Dark and Stormy, however, for which I've given them an extra star.
Cool place to come from drinks. We had a number of different cocktails and martinis and all were made with care - maybe a little too much so because the service was a little slow. The drinks weren't outrageously priced either.
It was moderately busy on a Friday night with most people hanging out in the back room. The décor's a little tacky (strung lights around the bar) but if you're here its probably for casual drinks anyway.
Excellent service and great food with interesting decor. A hidden gem away from the crowds of other bars near by and reasonably priced too!
Love this bar! as others have said it is one of the best in London and has a fantastic atmosphere. one to take business guests to, or friends either way you will have a great night.
Amazing cocktails and I had the best gingerbread ice cream here before Christmas! Friendly staff and cool decor!
This place was great but it is very tucked away, it's off the main drag of Charterhouse st we struggled to find it for a bit. We were there for a friends party and the tartini's were fab (basically alcoholic dessert in a glass, my knid of cocktail). My only problem was that there was very little seating, don't know if it would be this way on a normal night, but come on people girls in high heels need to sit down occasionally! And there was no coatstand so you basically end up choosing between holding your jacket all night or chucking it on the floor. More of these two things (seating and coatstands) would really improve tart's standing in my eyes. My feet are still aching!
We specialise in cocktails, specifically our tartini cocktails based on classic deserts. Wet your appetite with a naughty violet or a Turkish delight and for the hardcore desert lovers a New York cheesecake, a lemon meringue (with a real meringue) a banoffee pie and many more. Served by our 2 friendly amazing cocktail bartenders we are a warm cosy bar in the week and a good place to party on a Friday night with our dj's playing. Saturdays our bar is available for hire and not open to the public.
Established in 2009.
We've been going 4 years strong, serving good quality cocktails for a reasonable price.
I am the friendliest happiest manager in all the land.
