Brilliant place to spend an afternoon. Best bit its FREE!!
Farm is good, usuel farm animals pigs, chickens, sheep etc. Goats are brilliant and loads of ducks etc to feed.
You can feed them your own bread, got to be fresh.
Wash hand basin for cleaning hands available also. Good car park but the farm isnt really very busy.
Park beside it is good, again another good sized car park and nice walk upto the park. Lovely place for a picnic in the summer.
Closes at dusk. Open at dawn, there is a large selection of waterfowl, barn museum, and picnic areas. They have rare breeds such as Dexter/Irish Moiled cattle and Saddleback pigs. This is a Georgian farmhouse with Gloucester Old Spot or Tamworth pigs and ornamental fowl. You have to arrange farm tours but there's a barbeque, children's play area, and sculpture trails.
A great family day out!!!! The animal farm itself is well stocked with a wide variaty of animals for children to get close to, such as pigs, ponies, donkeys, goats, chickens, hens etc it is a friendly environment and visitors are encouraged to take their time and enjoy visiting the various animal enclosures!! Whats more entrance is free which is great!!!!!! Beside the animal farm is the gardens (again, its free!!!) situated right beside Craigavon park and lakes, great for long walks. The Gardens are home to varoius characters made out of wood, or whittled!!! and there is plenty of room for the children to play football in or to enjoy the nearby childrens enclosed play park. Toilet facilities on site are clean and fair. Bring a packed lunch though as there are no shops on site !!!!! Great value for a fun family day out
