Went to Sunshine Factory last week for a Brazilian and was really pleased. The beautician was really friendly and professional and just chatted the whole time making the whole experience a little bit less awkward! She even let me try hot wax for no extra cost, and tweezed out the strays (shows attention to detail). I've already recommended this salon to other people and i'm definitely going to make it my regular salon. Excited for them to start doing eyelash extensions too! EDIT: 18/2/13 This place has really gone downhill. I like that you can now book online, but the last few times I visited, the wax I received was pretty substandard. The girl I had the first time I visited I have never seen since and none of her replacements are nearly as good. I won't go into any further detail as I'm an 'intimate' waxer, but I've started going somewhere else close-by where the finished product is much better. Sorry Sunshine Factory!
I was attracted to this clinic throug a voucher. I paid for three sessions of ILIPO treatment. First, you should know the basic treatment will not be enough for you so you probably need to updgrade the treatment and that will be very expensive in comparaison to any voucher you might buy. Second, if you are more than 10 minutes late your session will be lost whatever the reason for missing it (like if it was a Ryanair flight).
Therefore the rules are very strict and the prices not good when you need to do upgrades (that is what they try to sell you)
Don't bring your money here!!!
I had a facial and massage, each supposted to be 1hr long. As I had the combined deal, I was told that it will be around 90 minutes as we could save time by doing the two treatments together. Well, they clearly saved a lot of time on me, because everything was done in 67 minutes.
I was so disappointed, didn't really know what to say. I was thinking we are still warming up when the therapist said we were finished.
If you ever had a real facial and a good massage, don't even waste your time and money coming here.
My 'therapist' was the receptionist. Well, I guess 'If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys'.
Worse Indian Head Massage i ever had. The therapist was obviously not trained in it, and i have had proffesional ones before. The therapist used feather light strokes on my head and i had to ask her several times (nicely) to increase the pressure as i could not feel a thing. She totally ignored me. She told me her 'hands werent strong enough'. What nonsense is that?? She did not massage my shoulders either, which you are meant to do with indian head massage, and she also attempted to massage the back of my neck whilst i was lying on my back -by putting her hands underneath-this was very uncomfortable as her nails and fingers were digging in to me-next time sunshne factory if you want to massage the back of somebodys neck ask them to turn over!. She kept repeating the same movements over and over again in the same spot and i was very dissapointed. They was not that cheap either considering their lack of experience. The only good thing about the massage was the music, which kept me from getting irate. After the massage ended the therapist walked out of the room , didnt say thank you or goodbye ect and i couldnt find where the light was as it was too dark to get dressed.
The only thing i would come here for is the sunbeds, other than that your better of going elsewhere
Approached this company for a wax on the basis of reviews on this site, and found them nothing but helpful, friendly, and professional. I live locally and finding a first class service so close was a dream, and one I recommended to many friends. I purchased a Groupon voucher on the back of this service. Unfortunately, having telephoned to redeem and book a patch test for the IPL (having apologised profusely for leaving it until a couple of days prior to expiration, though explaining that the waxist advised this patch test was a 'walk in' service, and the actual first full treatment could be booked and redeemed after the expiry date), I was insulted, criticised and told it was unacceptable of me to have left the booking so late, and in no uncertain terms, advised that I would not be applicable to redeem the voucher with them. Perhaps I caught the receptionist on a bad day, but to be treated with such criticism left me gobsmacked and close to tears. What a shame to spoil a reputation you have obviously worked so hard to achieve.
