Oh wow I am surprised by the 1-star yelp reviews here.
Lets see, my friends and I were here last summer to celebrate a friend's birthday and got our names on the guestlist. Because we are not from the area, we got lost on our way trying to find this club. We were supposed to be there by 11pm to get in for free, but we didnt get there until 11:30pm. Knowing it was my friend's birthday, we were still let in for free so that was very nice of them.
Once we got in, the place was fairly empty. The music was fine and just typical club music. I think more people started coming in around past midnight. The crowds were decent. Its mixed drinks are definitely overpriced!
Because i was with a group of friends, we all had fun!
However, it was the part after the club that we had the most interesting story. We went to leicester square which is a 2-minute walk from the club and trying to take the night bus back to our homestay because the tubes/subways shut down right around midnight. There was no direct nightbus and we could only guess the rough direction to get back. We first got on a bus heading north toward our neighborhood and hoped the driver could tell us exactly which bus to take. However, the bus drivers simply ignored us. We could only rely on maps and roughly figure out where we were supposed to go. So it took us 2hours of switching to 6 different night-buses to get back to our house!!!
Seriously do yourself a favor and don't come to this place. Got stuck here on my last night in london cause my friends are retarded and it's not cool at all. Go to koko or something else cause this place sucks, the music isn't good, crowd is based mostly on weird black people, don't get me wrong my best friend is black but this place is just ridiculous. Keep away from here. I don't think this place deserves a star at all
Let's see. Storm Saturday. Got there around midnight.
They charged us full cover even though that place was empty.
Alcohol is ridiculously expensive.
There was a guy, by the speakers who puked. The guy went away, but the puke stayed.
The music sucked! THE DJ SUCKED! Very amateurish! One slow song, to a fast song, and in the middle of a fast song he would drop and slow it down... Totally fucking up the momentum of the dance. I saw people having wierd expression. One minute they're all dancing... The next, WTF! We just stop. and what pisses me off is that they repeat songs!
To top it off. We finally left after some guy threw a beer bottle on some guys head. Glass everywhere... Blood stain on my friend's feet.
THIS PLACE IS AN EPIC FAILURE!!!!!!!!
Heed the warnings. There's soo much security, that you'd think it's safe. Turns out, there's soo much security because BAD SHIT ALWAYS HAPPEN!
Wow, just wow!
I'm speechless that we actually ended up going in here. I will admit, it was a mistake. We thought we were going into the Spoonies next door for a quick drink.
Ariz G, you speak wise words. Avoid this shit hole from hell, unless you are desperate to dance to terrible music with some very hairy drunk male tourists who are lost and confused.
Go home. Don't go here. Don't pay to get in. They should pay you.
This is primarily a nightclub, but I know it better as the home of The Comedy Club. They have live stand-up comedians on Tues, Wed, Fri and Sat nights and all the comics have appeared on TV shows before performing here. The Comedy Club have in past years had Russell Brand perform for them, but recently just acts from shows like Nevermind the Buzzcocks and people who have won Best comic of the year awards take part.
It's only £5 on the door with a flyer and there's always the lovely board people standing about waving them at you. It's a cheap and laughter filled night out.
This place is not really worth going to at all. Most Leicester Sq nightclubs/bars are not great, and this is no exception. Feels cramped.
If your in the area, walk up Regent's st for some better options.
This place is probably better known as a nightclub, however, of you go in early on a Thu or Fri (& some Wed), you can see some fab up & coming bands. From soloists with a keyboard to full on rock bands, you never know what you're going to hear. At last, a venue in Leicester Square with real music and excellent sound! Usually quite quiet too, so it's a bit of a find if you're into music.
A company called The Talent Scout deal with the bands, so I guess if you're keen, they must have a website? Enjoy!
Worst place EVER doesnt even deserve a freaking star... I got there and thank god I had male friends with me as well as female the guys there are disgusting, swearty tourists or just generally guys who can't score with girls. So I had this one guy who put his hands underneath my top and tried to undo my bra like wtf?! these men have no shame and really bad breath like honestly if your'e the kind of girl whose fine with men trying to take your knickers off on the dance floor then by all means go ahead go to Storm... because that is all you will get a bunch of fucking losers who probably don't even know how to find their dicks! Music was crap and drinks mehh!!! In fact when out clubbing just AVOID Leicester Square altogether it;s not exactly the best area for clubbing!!!
The music is pretty good, lively crowd, abit immature but generally speaking its a last resort!
