Sometimes described as the most impressive building in the county, this massive late medieval church is interesting even if you are not coming to a service. The interior, largely restored, is light and airy, and features some impressive screens, with paintings of St Paul and the Apostles. Much of the statuary was destroyed either in the reformation, or in the era of the English Civil War. The Luftwaffe were also responsbile for the destruction of much of the stained glass in the building. Notheless, the place oozes character look in the graveyard for some interesting inscriptions, including one individual who met his end in a pirate attack in the Carribean !
