How they manage to sell at such good prices I don't know. This shop sells a lot of well-priced trainers, and I've been going there for years. It's often hard to find an assistant to get you the trainers to try on, but worth the wait for the bargain footwear. They also sell good umbro footballs for just £2!
The store has numerous floors, and a handy lift to get to them. It sells pretty much everything you could ever need for sports, from ping poing bats to golf clubs. In the upper floors there's also a large range of trainers for women and children. All in all, this shop has everything you can need for sports, at excellent prices.
As the second biggest sports world in the UK, this store gets pretty busy.
Has lots of very cheap items over 4 floors. Just do not expect good customer service - sure enough the staff serve you and put on smiles but they certainly wont go out of there way to help you!
They always have some sort of discount on and has saved me loads of money buying trainers for my OH.
It is located in the city centre and is easy to get to, but i definatly would not recommend going there at the weekend or near christmas because you wont be able to move!!
This shop is huge and due to its expanse it tends to house anything you could possibly need for your sporting endeavors. i gets very busy in here especially at weekends so staff are very busy, but all the sam very helpful.
This is a great store although I would avoid it at the weekend when it gets far too busy. The store itself covers 4 floors offering a huge range of sporting goods from trainers to golf clubs. The goods that they offer are quality brands such as Nike, Addidas etc. I have shopped here for Ski wear, amongst other things, that was soooo much cheaper here than anywhere else. I can't reccommend this shop enough as it has saved me so much money over the years.
Wouldn't shop here again! The staff are unhelpful, look miserable and are more interested stood around yapping than actually helping customers.
I was annoyed to discover they don't offer refunds if you buy something the wrong size, even if you have the receipt and labels still on. On speaking to the manager she told me it is company policy and displayed for customers to see. When I asked where I was told on the back of the receipt (which means you have to have bought something first!) and on a sign on the desk by the till (which was very unhelpfully covered up by their carrier bags!!).
Also the staff had given me misleading advice the week before saying any problems with the size bring it back and that despite not having the size I wanted in stock they do do it in the size I wanted and have 3 deliveries a week. Then when I went back I discovered that yes you can bring it back but don't expect a refund, and also the item I wanted doesn't come in the size I was after either. Even on the back of all this the Manager was most unhepful and didn't seem to care.
I certainly wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. Yes it might be cheap, but I feel I ended up wasting my money in there in the end and wish I'd gone somewhere else.
Only enter this store if you are very patient and can handle being pushed and squished around! The goods are certainly very cheap but this comes at a price, stress! On a busy Saturday it is almost impossible to move around this shop and although the staff will help if you ask, don't expect too much in the way of customer services!
Although often busy, this is probably the best value-for-money sports shop around. I have never failed to find what I am looking for in this shop. The staff, however, rarely look happy
