I stayed in the new eco-friendly hotel building and the rooms were very nice with view of park. The spa was amazing with so many amenities and restaurant with a delicious menu of items and beverages!

Interesting to be back after nearly 3 years. It was super busy because of this offer: http://www.zuiveramsterdam.nl/.../10-sp.../p1280-zuiver-weekdeal

      Let's see...

The massive and luxurious Eucalyptus scrub bowl that was in the center of the shower, as you walk in, the smell of the Eucalyptus made you feel like you were close to paradise, but helaas... it is now gone. Instead, they replace with cheap scented Palmolive scrubs bottle on the walls, which makes it look like you are in a student dormitory.

Of course I went on a day where the entry fee was 19€ it seems like everyone and their little pets were also there. As expected, both water bedrooms were packed, 2 Jacuzzis were full, one not working, all the saunas were packed and loud, I felt like I was in high school again,

***Do you remember after practice you all rush to the locker room and then the shower? That was the feeling I had yesterday, It was ok because the majority were women, and the men who were there, where old, hairy, pregnant or maybe just fat. Hehehe.
      Nothing hot and sexy!

The pool was the only place that was empty, so a swim was fabuloso. Because I am single I went with a girlfriend, actually, I must admit... it was fun chatting in the sauna, it was back in high school again. hahahaha

The outdoor Jacuzzi was fun and packed as well, but we managed to squeeze in.
My girlfriend left and I decided to spend the evening, it was super cool, there were other women upstairs in the lounge area that we're doing the same, chilling, reading and having a glass of vino. However the noise from downstairs does echo up in the room, so the relaxation was cut short.

      Ok..
here come the creeps: after 19:00 a few Moroccan men were sitting on the edge of the wall, it looked... NYC on a hot summer day, you have to pass them to get to where you are going. It felt like this: https://youtu.be/b1XGPvbWn0A But the creepy thing is the way they undress you with their eyes and it lingers and lingers.
Last time this happened, I was completely naked and I felt more naked even though I was with a man. But this time alone with a bikini, it felt the same. I thought Zuiver would take care of this issue.

The point is, if you are a woman (especially a black woman) the night is a bit uncomfortable.
Will I go back?: yes, only on swimwear days, and with girlfriends.

      Would I recommend?:

Yes: if you are looking just to hang out with friends

No: if you are looking for a true Spa, Zuiver is not it (anymore)

      Went here today for spa.

Property is nice so many pools, hot tubs, saunas - a lot of places to relax

Got the hot stone massage- was done very well!

But the front desk girls who check you in - are useless. They don't tell you anything what you need to know - where the lockers are, no useful information. They suck.

      Tip for your visit:
      - Bring your robe, towel and flip flops -- they charge 16 euro for that, plus 6 euro to buy flip-flops and you are required to have them.
      - If you are going to be there during lunch time, stop by the restaurant and notify that you will be eating there, otherwise there is a wait.
      - The spa lockers are AFTER the entrance to the spa on the second floor. The lockers are SMALL. So stashing all your things in a plastic bag and bringing it here, is the only thing that will work.
      - Massage is nice, reserve it online before you arrive few days in advance.
      - Bring your own bottle for water. Refill it with the water by the spa desk
      - I brought hair mask and scrub and all the skin care products, and there is pretty much nowhere you can do all that.

Finally made it to the sauna! It's very big with lots of outdoor space and a big pool that's half indoors and half outdoors. Everything is modern and clean, and the staff were friendly.

That said, as a woman I left not wanting to go back. There happened to be many foreign men at Zuiver the day I went there, and many of them were total creeps. One incident in particular left me horrified. Were I not with a guy friend I'd have left.

The unacceptable behavior isn't Zuiver's fault, of course, but I'm not going back any time soon.

      Sorry, I'm really not a fan of this SPA and this is because;

      1. 30 euro entrance fee AND towel, robe and slipper fees if you didn't bring your own
      2. No water fountains in the spa, bring your own bottle fill, or drink direct from the sink tap. You can BUY water for 2.50 euros from reception - but it's a long walk there
      3. All pools and tubs are heavily chlorinated - you'll leave with very, very dry feeling skin and I felt my eyes itching in the hot tubs from it
      4. Too busy - watched a guy come and use our towel to wipe his feet, left after trying to find him to tell him off, but I get he thought it was his towel, there were so many!
      5. Sauna's aren't that hot and very little room to sit in them. We did the 'hardcore' sauna experience - was a huge let down as it wasn't extreme at all and we felt like sardines
      6. Lots of spaces too full to go in.
      7. You have to walk a long way, two flights of stairs to get to changing rooms
      8. Dumb electronic locker system, got my stuff locked in one and it took about 15 minutes for them to get it out
      8. Place feels like an airport spa - lacks real character (even if it looks good

Sorry, I like spa's but this one is not worth a visit... Especially for the price tag!

What a lovely spa! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, you'll find this spa on the edge of the Amsterdamse Bos, a forest (or some might call in a large park) in Amsterdam.

It's a very affordable spa, and I ask myself each time, "how do they stay in business with these great prices?!" Despite the affordable price, you'll get high quality 4-star facilities (not 5). So you get so much more than you pay for!

Entering the spa, for me, is often enough. You don't necessarily need any fancy spa treatment add-ons to completely decompress and get the most of your zen experience. It's such a big space and there is plenty to suit your tastes.

There are about 10 different types of saunas to choose from, my favorite being the Finnish saunas with the programmed rituals. You must try!!

You'll also find a steam room (Turkish bath), aromatherapy baths, cold baths, jacuzzi tubs, an indoor/outdoor pool, and more! You'll also find a nice restaurant and a lounge area with snacks and drinks.

If you plan to stay the day (which is easy to do!), I'd recommend pre purchasing a package that includes lunch and drinks as it's a much better deal.

I love this place and go about 4 or 5 times a year but would love to go more!

This review is just for the spa. I wish I could say that we enjoyed our experience here, as I was so looking forward to a relaxing soak, but from the minute we walked in, we were greeted with rude stares and an unwelcoming reminder that on top of our 30€ per person fee (that we booked in advance) we would have to also pay an additional 19€ p.p. to rent bath robes, towels, and sandals (if you don't bring your own. We didn't-since nobody told us about this.) TACKY! My husband and I just looked at one another, and fled.

I'm not sure what the snooty attitudes were about but the outside of the place reminded me of a worn out, 1970's American style, small town, country club, which had seen better days. Another reviewer said something about this being located in a forest outside the city. What forest? this place is situated in the midst of a bunch of modern office buildings. Unpleasant all around.

On another note, my personal trainer just loves the place and says that once you get in, it's paradise, so perhaps I will give it another chance and bring my own robe, towel, and sandals to make it more affordable..

I went there to play tennis. Very nice indoor courts. A lot of them. When weather is nicer outside courts are available also. Changing rooms are not fancy but very clean with nice showers. A bit small, but you do not have to dine there :)

In the complex there is a very nice an laungy bar where you can chill out before or after your match.... or even during :)

It is all looking fancy. In the complex also a sauna with massages which I have not tried yet and also a sport articles shop and a big gym, very nice.

Well, all you need to keep fit after all the yelping around restaurants and bars!!!

No membership required. If you are member of one of the club hosted here you get discounts and freebies.

      Let's play!!!!

This is a sad sad hotel and does not even deserve 2 stars. We stayed there 5 nights and I wish I could block out the experience from my memory. Everything about the room did not meet just normal standards of a room..dust, hair on sheets ( not ours) every time they cleaned the room ( if they cleaned- not till like 5pm everyday) dingy EVERYTHING, and worst of all the pillows! If only I had pictures to share They were so disgusting we had to only use one that was salvageable and that one was so lumpy that it literally felt like they had stuffed a square pillow with a bunch of cotton balls and then put a normal rectangle pillow case on it and tried to make it work. We asked for more and they were all the same. I've never experienced anything like this.

I could go on for days..but I'll just touch briefly on the customer service- HORRIBLE! The hotel guests get literally jumbled in with everyone going to the spa and playing tennis and it seems as though there is no one that works for the hotel. They clearly have too much going on. Once again, I've never experienced anything like this. There's also like nobody staying there and I can see why!

As for the spa, I didn't think it was very clean but I'll leave that to you to determine. There's clearly tons of people that must enjoy it.

Great spa near Amsterdam. Beautiful location, wonderfully calm atmosphere, extremely clean, friendly staff, and plenty of different kinds of pools and saunas to chose from. Entrance and on-location food & drinks are not exactly cheap, but well worth the price.
