2 reviews for South Bank Skate Park
All Reviews
I think if I saw something like this in most areas of Central London, I would be quite annoyed but here it works quite well - it is quite in-keeping with the quirky nature of its surroundings here. It is good fun to watch the kids doing tricks - some of them are very talented (or maybe they just practice alot but still it is impressive)
I have always loved skateboarding, well that's pushing it, I've always loved to watch, I'm not that great a skateboarder. But one thing that skaterboarders I know always complain about is the lack of places to go. Real skaters want to find a place that has a wide mix of things that allow them to do tricks, get good speed and learn a few things. The skate park at South Bank isn't very big, but it is a good place to practice a few tricks and pick up a few. The community is very friendly and are willing to welcome new comers. It's not just skateboarders who enjoy the area, BMX bikes and skaters also pop up doing tricks as well. This is a great place for all of the above and a great place to just sit, watch, learn and maybe be amazed.
