used to be really good. Had a couple of dodgy drivers lately, including one who pulled up at the wrong house, got out to smoke a fag. when i told him it was few doors up he just said "ok" and carried on. Didnt move the car to collect the two ladies waiting! Then to top it off his driving was appalling
Sooooo disappointed. After booking my taxi 5 days in advance for a safe and quick pick-up after EDC concert, it became a night of hell with Skyline. We walked for half an hour to a meeting point where the driver could pick us up. We received a text saying driver was dispatched but i called anyway to double check and the admin person said that driver would be 15 minutes late in "worst case scenario". Fair enough, so we waited in the rain for 1.5 hours. We gave up on our taxi and flagged down ANOTHER driver from skyline. as if things could not get worse, the driver was a massive asshole (Raheem) and instead of sympathising that we had been waiting for ages, decided to fleece us and demanded £90 or my car is not moving. My original booking was for £65. absolutely terrible service, communication and attitude. The company should not take bookings on event days because they clearly do not have the ability to cope with it.
I've had too many occasions where the driver estimates the price of the journey, and the odd occasion where they ask ME how much I think it is!
One time, we ordered a taxi to Bannatynes spa, and instead of setting off with us in the back seats, he decided to roll a cigarette!
Another occasion, I ordered a taxi to take me to a job interview in Central MK. I ordered the taxi for a hour early just in case something went wrong. When the taxi was 5 minutes late, which is the most I'll accept, I called them. They said their driver is lost. That's one of the few 'qualifications' of this career, to know the area! And my house isn't hidden. The taxi ended up being about 40 minutes late, and I only just made it to the interview on time!
My last experience was it, we ordered a taxi from the point to Furzton, and they said it'd be 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, and fed up with standing waiting, my Fiancé phoned them to ask where they were. They said they had gone to the other side of the point.
When we got in he dawdled with some money. He said Why didn't you get in as I was here.
Firstly, we were told to wait for a black Toyota, and that it was on the way from the other side of the point! I hoped to make him feel bad by saying to my partner We're going to miss our program. I knew they'd have to half the price anyway considering I'll spread their bad reputation, and it's simple customer service! However, it came to £4.80. What? It's usually £3.50. We were shocked, and my fiancé asked (much more politely than I would have!) Can you lower the price considering it was 25 minutes late? He said that he doesn't make the prices, that the office does, and I was fuming! They always guess the price, or it'd be the same each time! £4.80 is what they charge me after midnight, and this was afternoon on a weekday! Maintaining my businesswoman professionalism I just muttered to my Fiancé We'll complain and I'll write a review.
Terrible attitude. At one point he turned and shouted at another car for overtaking him!
In Sussex where my partner is from they have friendly English and Irish drivers that have a decent friendly chat with you, and remember you. Bit of a change from the drivers with Skyline, saying Is it this way? Which roundabout do I go to? and natter on their phones in a foreign language!
I've even had a few occasions where the driver has driven off with a different passenger, not even asking their name!
Other taxi companies are cheaper and more reliable.
Good experience on a short journey. Good that there is no minimum fare at an unrealistic level.
