One review for Simone's Patisserie

This little cake shop caught my eye and literally dragged me in to eat some sweet treats. I know New Row quite well and it's a favorite lunchtime haunt for me so I get quite excited when a new place pops up.
I came in here and was greeted by the friendliest staff who insisted I sample a selection of cakes before I buy. Well if you insist! Now the cakes are beautiful, so perfect in fact that they actually look like toy cakes and it did fill me with the fear that these would taste like the pre-packed plastic rubbish you get from the supermarkets. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is sexy food as Leon G would say. The chocolate cake that I settled on was moist, rich, sticky yet firm. I'm actually dribbling slightly just writing this!
They seem to do lunches to so I will totally check them out and update this but based on the cakes, wonderful. They seem to have more of a French influence than others but don't hold that against them. The seating area is small but cosy so you can sit in too. Just wonderful!
