The food here is gorgeous. Went for a family afternoon out and loved it. Its only small and does get busy so make sure you book or turn up early. Definatley recommend the place. The only downside is it doesnt really cater for children and they dont do highchairs! We went when my son was about 18months old and he had to sit on the chairs with us, not the best setting for eating.

Located just out of Chester along the A56, this traditional old pub boasts some of the best food around and is hugely popular throughout the week aswell as at the weekend. The menu has been the same for a good long while but there are specials chalked up on the board each day that are always worth looking at. There's a good choice of lagers and bitters on draught and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. You can of course just visit here for a drink too but a taxi home could get pricey due to its location especially if you don't have a designated driver! I particularly like the mushroom stroganoff and my partner always plumps for the beer battered fish and chips.
