A lovely cinema with plenty of car parking and facilities.
they always have thr up to date films and the times are always good too.
the staff are fiendly and helpful and the cinemas are comfortable with spacious leg room and makes it a good night out
Showcase cinema is based on the Castle Gate park surrounded by restaurants like Chiquitos, Pizza Hut, Franki and Bennies and Nandos. Also a bowlplex and a Mcdonalds.
A word of warning if you go at times like Saturday early evening, or Friday evenings you would see loads of large groups of um whats the best way to put this 'chavs'
Anyway back to Showcase - Its prices are certainly not cheap now roughly £6.00 each to get in, or for £12 roughly, you can go premier seating which is upstairs in a sectioned of area with big arm chairs or sofas and you get a plate of nachos, chocolates and muffins to eat.
The cinema itself is very new and modern, the refreshments are way overpriced but thats always the way for a cinema.. I would make an exception for Ben and Jerrys stand though ;)
The 4* is based on the cinema facilities and premier mainly, If I had to take the area and price into consideration it would be a 3*
A good mainstream cinema.
The screens are nice (although slightly aged), and the seating is all very good.
Due to the amount of screens, there is usually quite a lot of choice of mainstream films. Occasionally there maybe one or two art-house flicks, but generally it is the usual big-budget films.
The staff are helpful, and there is ample parking, and other places nearby for entertainment and food. (Nandos, Bowling, etc)
A large cinema on the main road to Birmingham, just outside Dudley. Prices are not cheap, but then again, where is cheap to watch a movie nowadays??
I thought I'd review this place because it's nestled amongst pubs and restaurants, so you can make a night of it. Includes a Frankie and Benny's, Nando's and Pizza Hut. Parking is free. Also, Premier service is available here, and you can hire luxury seating on the top levels of some screens to watch a movie in peace with a mate or partner. Complimentary food service is available too, and you are privvy to a premier based 'Chatter's Lounge' to sit and mingle before you enter the movie theatre.
Expensive , extreme air conditioning , seating uncomfortable .
We always go to the showcase cinema, the staff are always friendly and the foyer and cinema screens very clean and kept tidy. The seats are comfortable and the layout is good
This is a very modern cinema and has many large screens showing the latest films. It's sighted on a amusement park with in easy reach of McDonalds and a bowling alley comeplete with a bar, which provides enough for a whole night out. The staff seem friendly enough and it's a very modern building which was clean and well air-conditioned.
They also have 'premium seating' which unlike normal cinemas actually means something as you can sit in big sofa-like seats with speakers in the headrest and have ordered food (proper meal food) brought into you during the film on a table beside the seat. This is great fun however it is amazingly expensive more in line with the prices of leicester square than Dudley town centre.
The general prices are also is very expensive for even normal tickets though so try and take advantage of going during the off-peak times when they are more reasonable.
Great cinema, never had a problem parking close as there is a massive overflow carpark at the rear. This cinema does get busy, especially on Wednesdays so make sure you leave time to queue up for tickets if you havent bought in advance. The staff on the whole and friendly and helpful and the cinema is well kept and clean. It's the best place to go to see in film in the area.
the show case cinema is not bad ,but a bit on the pricey side.how every you can all ways get to see what you want see, good food.
Very good cinema situated on Castlegate Park. Prefer this cinema to the other cinema in Wolverhampton. Laid out better with better seating. Has premier service which for an additional cost you get better more private seats with complimentart food - but this is only for select films. Local to other places such as bowlplex, pub, nandos, frankie & bennys etc so you can actually spend the evening over here. Very good parking, front and back of cinema.
this is a very cosy pictue house with plenty of different shows it is family friendly warm, clean ,and they also sell refreshments and snacks there is a hugh car park and there are also l;ate night shows
Even though i live in Wolverhampton this my first choice of cinema. Its modern and clean. I like the bar area and eating sections. The cinema is well located with plenty of parking spaces. There is agood varity of food. Its also great to go to before or after a nice meal in one of the surrounding restaurants.
no i love this cinema its very nice in side so yes ill go back here there very helpful when you need them its very nice in side the way they have done it out
quite expensive, but lovely comfy seats even without paying extra, and good clean facilities. only been once, but would go again, popcorn was nice too :)
This is a good cinema, situated basically in the heart of Dudley. It shows all the new releases has a fantastic premier lounge although the food can be pricey if you go on a Wednesday you pay around £6.50 for two with the Orange wednesdays ticket. It particu8larly good as it is situated in a complex where you can walk outside and there are resteraunts at your convinience.
great cinema just down the road from me comfortable seating. nice food and drink friendly staff clean place. excellent carpark and i love where it is situated by lots of ammenities great night out
