I went for a long consultation prior to the hair cut and colour and felt reassured they knew exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately I was given a completely different hairdresser who did things very differently to what I had asked for and agreed on.
I stopped things before the cut went ahead because it was clear the hairdresser didn't have a clue what I'd asked for.
It seemed to me they'd over booked and that I'd been fobbed off on another hairdresser. I didn't appreciate the defensive tone and nonsense of the owner. I offered to pay just £30 because I wanted to be fair given that they'd spent time. But looking at my damaged over processed hair (especially when I'd told them I was worried about the condition) and the fact that basically they dyed it back to the colour I walked in with, I'm not remotely impressed.
If they'd waived the payment completely I might have had some respect. I too sell a product to high end clients and am self employed, if a client asks me for something very particular, I deliver, if I don't they'd get their money back, but that has never happened because I'm professional.
