Very nice atmosphere. Nice outdoor area if you like outdoor dining or are a smoker. They give you plenty food...way more than I could eat! Extremely satisfied. Will come again!
What a great find! The food was amazing and the beer selection was huge. I am a fan of the pork shank. The most impressive part was the price and service. Three of us ate and drank for 4 hours and the bill was only 60 euro. I hope to be able to return again! Did I mention the huge free parking lot?
This was my first stop upon arrival in Stuttgart and it was every bit as good as my friend told me it was. The staff is friendly and a few of them speak English. The schnitzel, a must, is tasty and the beer was refreshing. They offer a bunch of different choices and I am a fan of Schonbuch.
On Sundays, they offer a wonderful brunch and you can enjoy all the different courses. All drinks, including beer, are included in the brunch price.
The restaurant is modern looking and there is a large courtyard if the weather is nice. This is a must try.
Huge hall with some brewing equipment in it. Very nice interior, good prices, and friendly staff. Whenever I'm in the area I'm trying to pay a visit to this place.
The potato wedges are a classic. But the Zwiebelrostbraten is good as well. Typical Swabian dishes and a few international ones.
There's a Biergarten attached to it, they are showing live sports events and they have a Sunday brunch.
This local brauhaus is located in a residential neighborhood. It has a casual beer hall atmosphere with long communal tables.
The Schweineruckensteak (pork loin in brown beer gravy) was outstanding! The food menu has dish descriptions in English; my waiter also spoke English which made the experience more comfortable. I saw some of the folks around me order appetizers as their dinners - they're large enough to suffice as a meal.
Oh yeah - and the beer is outstanding. I had a Hefeweizen tonight; next time I'll tray another brew. I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of the brews. I'll definitely be back a few more times during my stay here.
About the prices: They're probably reasonable by German standards, but I rated them as moderate because that's how I view them from my American point of view. Bear in mind this is only my second day in Germany... maybe in another week I'll see things differently.
Great place, great service, wonderful beer garden, good prices.
We arrived around 6:30 with a group of friends and did not make a reservation on a very busy night. We were seated at a great table but we were told we had to leave by 8:00. That was fine with us! If you need more time at the table, be sure to make a reservation.
My husband loves their pork knuckle and I'm a big fan of their chicken breast. This night, I decided to try the maltashun (Swabian ravioli). It was okay, but not my favorite place for this local dish. I've had the chicken breast before and it's one of the best cooked chicken breasts I've ever had. Always, juicy and flavored well. My husband says their pork knuckle is the best around the area.
We will definitely go back.
By the way, they let us stay beyond our 8:00pm "deadline" and even brought another round of beers after that. There were open tables and no one rushed us to leave.
Great atmosphere - large restaurant. The only drawback to that was it got a little noisy as it got more crowded. Great selection of delicious bier! The food was delicious and there are several types of ice cream desserts to finish off your meal! We'll definitely be going back!
We have eaten here a couple of times. Our out of town guests liked it so much they asked to eat there again before they left. Great food, love to sit outside when the weather is nice. Lots of space for groups.
It's an okay touristy restaurant. The food was ok. Outside ambience very old-worldy with addition of tourists, cars, and the guitar player. It started raining on us and we got moved to under the umbrellas. The smoky beer was ok. Service was great.
Hubby and I have already been here several times to eat and to buy some of the beer to take home. We are both hooked on the Schönbuch Dunkel, and I'm also a big fan of the Schönbuch Kristallweizen. Like previous reviews say, the menu includes English descriptions and every waiter/waitress we've had there has spoken English. The food has always been great as well. Definitely a stop for new arrivals!
All you can eat brunch was good, but pricey. I would have preferred to just order a breakfast meal. It was 23.50 euro per adult.
