I like Scarecrow. They sell unique dresses and interesting striped tights.

I would give this place a better review but I think they take a bit of advantage of the fact that these dresses are one of kind and keep the price high. I think the sale rack in the back of the store is even a bit expensive.

Also I have seen similar jewelry (the counter has some bangles and there is also costume jewelry in case) for much less. There was one bracelet, sort of tortoise shell colouring, for 12 pounds. I've seen the same thing around for half the price.

A+ for unique dress offerings. C for Price. Around 3 stars..could be more if my budget was higher! LOL

From the business

We are a family run business, mother and daughter.
We have both been in fashion, designing and making clothes for over 20 years.
The style of our shop is vintage inspired, with an eclectic mix of clothes and accessories.
If something does not suit we will offer an alternative or suggest a style that they may not have thought of but we know they will look amazing in.We are very honest with our customers.
Vintage inspired collections, Japanese chic and quirky pieces that are easy to wear.We sell Yuki label as seen in Top Shop, plus we sell alot of one off pieces of that label you cannot find there.
A huge range of accessories and jewellery, so we can create you an outfit from head to toe,we are stylists too, and are very honest with our opions when dressing our customers.

Established in 2001.

I left London College of Fashion 19 years ago after specializing in knitwear. As soon as I left I realized that I wanted to work for myself and opened a stall in Camden Market as 'Scarecrow'. The name Scarecrow came about because I only use natural yarns cottons, linens and silks and used to hand sew a lot of the garments.
I then started to wholesale my knitwear to small boutiques in Chelsea, Notting Hill, Kensington and other independent boutiques around England. International sales followed to Japan, Italy and Spain.

My mum and I decided it would be a good idea to go into business together. She originally owned a boutique in Islington and a retro business in Camden, so we thought it could be a great idea to merge all our knowledge and experience together. Initially we were thinking of Islington as an area to open in but as my mum had just moved to Crouch End, we had a look around the area and thought it was a great place, with lots of independents.
