Though a smaller and less well known university lecture centre than the main University Place, the Samuel Alexander Building is home to the most interesting departments of the university. It too plays host to public lectures as well as ones solely for university students, so keep an eye on the website.
Lectures on literature, art, politics and culture are often here, either given my university lecturers from The University of Manchester or many of the excellent visiting professors from across the UK, Europe and indeed, the world. They also have plenty of lectures given by aspiring academics. As I say, these are sometimes open to the public and I would thoroughly recommend keeping an eye out.
Most recently world-famous medievalist critic and gender and sexuality studies profession Carolyn Dinshaw delivered a thrilling lecture, and there will be much more to come.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
