If you love vegetarian Indian food, this is one restaurant you have to try! It's very popular so do expect to wait to be seated if you go in the evening.
They have a lunchtime buffet and an evening buffet - this is a set price for all you can eat. It's not a cheap meal but, if you're hungry when you go in - you won't be when you leave! You could, of course, just order food from the regular menu but then you wouldn't have the opportunity to try all the different types of food in the buffet! I've never known the food from the buffet to be stale - the staff are always checking the food and replenishing on a regular basis.
Be aware that the fresh juices and Lassi (yoghurt milkshake) is very expensive. We always opt for a jug of water since Sakoni don't just have tap water, they have filtered water and you'll get a jug put on your table automatically.
This is a very popular restaurant with vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It's next to an Asian cinema and is always busy. The buffet is a good affordable option and the food is always fresh, delicious and authentically Indian. However, I have noticed that they have started adding pizza and chips to the selection!! You can park in Tescos next door for two hours free or there is a bus stop outside. They also sell DVDs and CDs and food to take away. Closed Mondays.
Great place to eat out, casual lunch or dinner, last minute fancy, special occasion, taking visitors etc. The food is tasty, the variety massive, the service great and it's reasonably priced. The bathrooms could do with a good clean though.
