Sainsburys is a pretty good supermarket, the prices are a little high compared to Asda and Tesco but the quality is generally very good. This Sainsburys is on such a busy roundabout it can be a complete nightmare to get in or out of especially if there is an accident on the M5 - all traffic gets diverted down the Golden Valley and the Sainsburys roundabout can become gridlocked.
The food is good quality although the fresh produce isn't aways as fresh as it could be. I did complain once about mouldy strawberries on sale and the manager literally bent over backwards to make me happy - I just wanted to let him know! Very good customer service from that respect.
The cafe is usually pretty quiet so good for a cuppa. The bakery is lovely, they do some great cakes! It's not my number one choice of supermarkets but it's nice to go for a change and get some different products!
Sainsburys is not my nearest supermarket but I often choose to shop there in favour of my closer ones. Their food is slightly more expensive, but the difference in price is minimal, and I find the food to be very good quality on the whole, with longer use-by dates. They also have a great clothing range.
I love the fact that you can use a handheld scanner to scan your own shopping in. It makes things so much quicker.
My corner shop as I term it because it is so local to me.
A biggish size supermarket that is clean and usually well stocked. Well arranged shelves and a very nice deli. The butchers and fish counter are up to a good standered. Occasionally they run out of what I want, but hey that's life sometimes and if it's something I really need I can also go to Tesco's which is also just round the corner. The clothing range is quite good, but they never have enough of the shoe range. Not a huge electrical range, but it stocks the basics.
I have eaten in the coffee shop and it's not too bad. It's not the Ritz, but if you want a quick snack or a cup of coffee before you go home and unpack it'll do nicely. The only thing I would advice is try and avoid it around the hours of 12pm to 2pm as there are a lot of offices and they all seem to go there for their lunch break. I did notice the last time I went in when it was raining that there where buckets around the front of the store and the floor was slippy. Not a good thing.
Clean, welcoming and reasonably well stocked store without being massive. Staff are helpful and friendly. Prices seem a little higher than nearby tescos and asda but you are generally getting good quality food i think. The cafe is a good addition to the store.
A good size supermarket stocking a great range of quality products. Their meat and fish counter is very good as is their fresh product. On the whole it can be a little bit more expensive than other supermarkets but if you want that little bit extra quality then you don't mind paying for it. The clothes range is brilliant along with the homeware department and have some great bargains when doing certain sale promotions.
Not a bad selectiong of goods, prices are ok too. I do like the Delli however, it has some nice selections.
