One of the great things about Portuguese restaurants is the plate of cheese and bread they serve you immediately. We arrived here with a case of very low blood sugar and we immedately received the plate with a stuffed crab and cold beer. Wonderful (though you do have to pay for it). We sat right by two large tanks for very frisky lobster which are undoubtedly fresh.
The seafood is straightforward: you point to what you want, they weigh it on scales, they cook it as you like and out it comes.
I would describe the cooking as honest and unfussy but the garlic prawns were terriffic and I have had cold prawns with mayonaise which has the texture of sirloin.
Waiters speak English. Decor is a little 80s.
Bill was expensive for Portugal, but for a main drag place in Lisbon it's about right.
The seafood is simply delicious, and the employes are always glad to help you decide and understand each of the courses. However, the prices in the menu are designed clearly to be a tourist trap.
