I bought a voucher via Living Social for Gutter Maintenance and Clean. I have to say I am very happy with the results.
The guys who came to do the work were polite, professional and kept me advised every step of the way as to what they were doing, what they found and advised me of any maintenance issues to monitor.
Good value and happy to recommend.

Renov8 (North West) appeared on BBC ROGUE TRADERS bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00… Purchased a Living Social deal from Renov8
NorthWest for clearing out the gutters. Also requested that additional work be
carried out (painting UPVC). After re-arranging appointments on several
occasions, and wasting 3 days of holidays due to 'no shows' , Renov8 north west
eventually attended and made a start on the painting.

Weather was poor and we were promised that they would return if there were any issues There were plenty of issues. Within a day , a
significant amount of paint had worn off. To make matters worse, Renov8 north
west have damaged the UPVC. We were advised by an independent builder that the UPVC needs replacing as a result. Renov8 attended out house over a month ago! Attempted to contact Renov 8 North West on several occasions. They never answer
the phone, return calls or reply to emails. Taking the matter up with Trading
Standards, and likely to pursue this legally due to the number of issues. Worth
noting that Renov8  North West also insisted on 'cash in hand' for the
additional 'work'. Never received an invoice. We finally heard back from Renov8 North West. Unfortunately it has taken posting a poor review to get a response. We were advised that they would be in contact by Tuesday (02/04/13). Once again this did not happen..

(assuming that they survive that long). TRULY TERRIBLE COMPANY

A friend of mine has had an absolute nightmare with these
guys. They performed some guttering through a Living Social deal. After several
missed appointments, they turned up, half finished the job and left due to 'bad
weather'. They never returned. My friend has attempted to contact them several
times. They don't answer phone calls. These guys take your money and then do a
    runner. Stay well away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased vouchers through GroupOn for A gutter clean service. The company Renov8 is an utter waste of time as they arranged an appointment and I took a days holiday, however the company failed to notify me that they would not be attending thus I wasted a whole day. I rang the company the following day and was promised that this would not happen again and that they would come on Thursdaywell surprise surprise true to form , they did not show up and did'nt bother notifying me that they would not be coming so another days holiday wasted. I can honestly say that considering the economic climate that we are in this company is doomed to failure due to lack of customer service. How they expect to becoming a reputable company I can only wonder.
I have cancelled my order and I am getting a refund.

After using Renov8 Northwest for gutter cleaning, we asked them if the tired-looking cladding on our house could be painted black to give it a new lease of life. They said yes and that the work would cost £100 plus another £20 to coat it for protection from moss and algae in the future. After several missed appointments, where I took days off work and the company did not even have the decency to let me know they could not come, they finally turned up on a very cloudy day. Indeed the heavens opened intermittently during the job, during which time the guys sat in their van waiting for the rain to stop. The weather eventually got too bad for them to continue and they left, insisting on payment and assuring me they would return to finish the job. By the next day, a substantial amount of the paint had come off, making the cladding look more unsightly than before.
Many, many attempts were made to contact the company via both telephone and email. All communication went unanswered until they did send one of the fitters back to 'finish' the job and add the protective coat. Upon arrival he said it looked like it was going to rain and we did not want the same problem as last time so he would come back yet again to finish the black paintwork but said he could apply the protective coat, even though the work was unfinished. I was dubious about this as how can you apply a protective top coat to a partially painted surface that still needs further paint? He assured me it was fine and insisted on the £20 payment which I stupidly gave him. I also mentioned that it looked like the wrong black paint had been used on the work already carried out as not only had a lot come off but what was left looked dull. He agreed it looked wrong and said someone would call me to confirm this and whether a gloss paint would be used in the future. Guess what?? No communication followed.
So again the continuous unanswered emails and calls started. The only thing to elicit a response from 'director'' Darren was a previous negative review on here from my husband. Darren, with whom we had never had contact before, suddenly appeared concerned, mainly because the review was 'damaging the business'. While calling us liars in his email, he did agree that the work carried out was unsatisfactory and he would be just as angry if all this had happened to him. Cue another reassurance that the work would be 'completed' if we removed the review. We did this but after not hearing from him again, the review was understandably reposted.
In the meantime, while a builder told us that the wrong paint had been used for the job and that all the paintwork would need sanding down before being repainted with the CORRECT PAINT, a surveyor has been out and said that this is not actually possible and the cladding now needs replacing at a cost of £1200. Our house now looks unsightly. We shall be sending Renov8 NorthWest the bill but as we do not expect a response this is likely to end up in court.

I purchased a window cleaning service through GROUPON which sounded great, it specified Secondly we use unique hydrophobic cleaning materials to keep your windows cleaner for longer. This assumes that they clean them at some point but this never happened! Firstly they failed the appointment time and after chasing them up one guy arrived who told me I had the wrong type of attachments on my taps (blamed the head office for not informing me that I needed the correct tap attachments and embarrassingly asked my neighbour to borrow his hosepipe. He then started cleaning the windows and I realised that he was doing such a bad job I couldn't be sure which he'd cleaned. I then watched him use an extended pole and reach most of the way up the first floor windows leaving the top 6 inches uncleaned and the rest not much better. I asked him why he wasn't using the ladder and he said the boss had broken them. He also said he wouldn't use this revolutionary cleaning method on his own windows but he hires a normal window cleaner. At this point I got very worried. He soon sneaked off without saying anything and I immediately rang the head office. Darren the boss came around seemed a fair guy and accepted that he also couldn't tell which windows were cleaned and promised to come back and do it himself the next day and there began 2 weeks of failed appointments and un returned messages. Many times when I called I got either BT 1571 answer machine or tesco mobile message which doesn't really give any credibility to them as a professional company. They were so unprofessional and unreliable that I wonder how they remain in business. I gave up in the end and got a refund from GROUPON who implied that I want the only one who had requested a refund. I am so glad that I hadn't paid for the more expensive services.
