A nice independant coffee shop on Barnet high street. The decor is wooden and antique, kind of thrown together, but it's great, all dark wood, warm and inviting. There is a small breakfast selection mainly revolving around scrambled eggs and a fairly limited selection of coffees for a cafe but they are well made. My cappuccino in a reasonable sized cup with an extra shot was perfect. It was a good place to while away the time pouring over the paper whilst waiting for new tyres to be fitted to my car. The owner seemed very friendly and there was a fairly steady stream of regulars popping in. It's nice to see independant coffee shops with a little character at least attempting to compete with the souless tax dodging chains like Starbucks. If I get the chance I will definitely be back to Renis in the future.
