When we moved to Chester, we found a property via the Reeds Rains website. If we had known how poor their service would be then we wouldn't have bothered. It took an age to get them to sort out all of the paperwork. They charged us a considerable sum to check my references only to then tell me they weren't suitable, because I was only just starting at the company (despite me telling them this before filling in the paperwork). Throughout the process we had to ring them repeatedly to chase them up. I then popped in during work time to pick up my keys only to have to endure half an hour of faffing around because the photocopier was broken and various other excuses.
When it came to renew our contract Reeds Rains failed to tell us it was up for renewal, this has happened twice since we moved in and the second time the landlord moved away from Reeds Rains because in his words they are useless

when I moved house the mortgage advisor at reeds rain was absolutely great he helped so much finding us a very competative mortgage, when my fixed rate is up in June i'll be going back as the service is top quality. All the staff were very helpful especially as this was my first house move. One problem with the actual office is if you was in a wheelchair or was disabled you would struggle to get down the stairs into the office. other than that its recommended you try reeds rain
