Went here for an early dinner last weekend. I have been to Reds before but about 3 years ago. There is a bar section at the front with some tables then there are some bigger seating areas at the back. The kitchen is in the middle which gives off a good busy feel to the place. The decor is very casual and relaxed with benches along the walls with cushions.
They are located very near the Wimbledon Theatre and a number of other tables were having a quick meal before going. There are a number of midweek deals on with one being 2 course for lunch in 20 minutes. Perfect for the lunch hour.
The menu is fairly extensive with fish, steak and burgers featuring. The menu says the burgers are the best in London so I went for a peri peri chicken burger while my wife had the burrito. Both were excellent. I would definately recommend the cajun chips. We both had a glass of wine with plenty to select from. Given the amount of competition in Wimbledon I would definitely recommend Reds Steak and Grill. There is also a branch in Putney.
This place has a great atmosphere. A good selection of beers and great food. Burgers are their speciality. We like it on a Sunday morning to read the papers ad have a breakfast. On hot days they open the front window and the sun streams in. They have a garden but it is not open anymore, I do wish they would open it again. Prices are fair
This café is a really sweet place to stop and take a breather during the day. It's often quite quiet so it offers a great opportunity to take a book and enjoy a really good coffee. The staff are all friendly and helpful and this really adds to the warm atmosphere. The bar snacks and nibbles are great too. The décor is really quaint with its floral cushions and old fashioned furniture but having said this it has a real modern feel. This would always be my first choice café to stop off at whenever in Wimbledon.
Dreadful, dreadful place. Went there on a Saturday night when all the other (best) restaurants in Wimbledon were full. This place was three-quarters empty and that should have been a dead giveaway. The waiting staff were bored and uninterested. The barman/waiter was more interested in setting up his friend with a couple of girls on a nearby table.....whilst he was taking our payment he was ignoring us and talking to them. The food was awful, the £16 meat platter consisted of 3 chicken wings, 2 ribs, 2 lamb koftas and 3 small cold corn cobs with a tiny dish of coleslaw. The meat was swimming in a thick, tasteless brown sludge that was allegedly barbeque sauce. This place makes Harvester look like Gordon Ramsey. Stay away!
Wow-- not your average grill here. Great service plus amazing food plus low-key atmosphere = a must-try!
Lovely burgers - amazing chips - we love it here.
Very relaxed seating out the back and good deals.
nice place and they do really nice burgers and great for Sunday breakfasts. wish they would re-open the garden for BBQs, hint hint :-)
