I found this place quite by accident one afternoon in 2007 after I had been shopping on Oxford St. and in Soho. I walked up the "wrong street" looking for something (I don't even remember what) and decided that my feet needed a rest and my tummy needed food.
The ramen here is good if you aren't too fussy about your ramen. The noodles are a bit soft (overcooked) but their portions are generous and their broth is tasty. I don't recommend their gyoza - it seemed they were something microwave defrosted and then were slightly pan-fried on one side. I came with a friend who doesn't like noodles so he ordered a rice stirfry plate with seafood & veggies and it was huge!
The food is fairly cheap £6 or so, but it always gets at me when I convert that into Canadian dollars. Even so, I do end up here at least once each time I'm in London because I know that the food will be good.
Joined Michael L and friends in a jaunt to Soho to explore the noodle selection at Ramen Seto. Michael was generous enough to offer me one of his gyoza, and I'd have to say that I'm a fan of them.
For myself I ordered a bowl of negi chasu ramen with hard noodles. It was the chasu (pork) ramen with the addition of shredded spring onion. The noodles were average, the pork a bit overdone, and the broth was shallow. In fact I had to add chilli to the broth, while ok for Pho just doesn't jive with me for ramen. It wasn't horrible, but I'll never travel to the area to visit this place again. If you're planning a night next door at Ain't Nuthin' But, then yeah it's a cheap filling quick bowl of ramen.
Thought I'd go somewhere else for lunch for a change. Ramen Seto didn't change my life, but I'd probably would come back.
The noodles were just about right (may be I need to ask for hard as it was slightly too squidgy) and the teriyaki chicken was yum yum. They were generous on beansprouts, but as you yelpers know; I don't really care much about that particular vegetable.
The service was a bit scatty as it was their lunch time and they charged for plain tea, which in my personal opinion is TERRIBLE. But then I come from a culture where the tea charge is basically service charge.
Hohum. I will have to remember that. At least they didn't charge me £4 a cup like some other tea trap I fell into.
Cultural Fail.

I've been to Ramen Seto since 2007 and their food weren't that bad. I enjoyed their large portion and good price. The atmosphere is not bad either, especially it gets busy all the times but sometimes felt rushed!
I would have given it a 4 stars but over the last year or so, the quality has changed. I also noticed that there are more Taiwanese/Chinese people working there comparing back to 2007, unsure whether they've changed management, hence the quality of the food.
It is a nice place to have Japanese food... but I don't think I'll be going back soon since I've been to Tsunami, although it's a whole different setting & quality of dining.
While walking around Soho I ran into Ramen Seto and had lunch there.
The shop is small and casual, serving a variety of Japanese gyoza, ramen and wonton soup bowls, yakisoba and sushi.
Since the restaurant name emphasizes ramen, I decided to stick with that and ordered a bowl of Kimchi Ramen soup. The soup broth was excellent with plenty of depth, the noodles were chewy and not overcooked. The kimchi was nice and spicy and the bonus was half of a hard-boiled egg in the soup.
If I lived in London, this would become a regular stop!
Undistinguished. As a ramen fan, I would recommend going elsewhere for ramen. We tried the Miso Ramen--the broth wasn't very tasty, and the noodle texture wasn't great, though they were generous with the pork and bean sprouts.
Tried Ramen Seto again. This time actually got the chashu ramen with hard noodles. Not life-changing but pretty good. Service was again spotty and it came with mangetout in it (come on guys, I don't know a lot about ramen but keep the mangetout out) but overall it wasn't terrible.
