I tend to find shops like Radley quite intimidating. The assistants usually look down their noses at people like me but the Radley shop is different. I have always received great service, the assistants are friendly and very helpful.
The shop itself is really nice, very cool and clean looking. There are a lot of bags, purses and other accessories on display. If they have a bag you like, you can ask to see it in other colours.
Radley is quite expensive but the quality of the goods is excellent so it's really good value for money plus the bags are so gorgeous.
You can find the Radley shop next to Zara, facing M&S.
If you can't go for a walk without stroking or cooing at every Yorkshire or Highland terrier you pass, chances are you already own a Radley wallet, purse, key-ring, suitcase or handbag.
For the rest of us, the idea of spending £20 to £150 on a leather accessory embroidered with a small dog seems, well, kinda weird.
A perfect Christmas present for my mum is a handbag. She manages to wear at least three out in a year but she likes to start the year off with a new one to show off in work.
So off I went to Radley as she'd seen someone with a nice one and told me about it (hint hint).
I'm not a huge lover of designer handbags, you obviously don't want to use it everyday as it'll get ruined but I can never be bothered moving everything from one handbag to another! So I just tend to have one massive bag that goes with me everywhere!
Anyway, it wasn't for me, it was for my mum. So off I went. I couldn't believe how many handbags they have! I told the assistant I wanted a handbag for my mum, she of course asked me what type to which I replied; "A nice one". I don't think she liked that because she just started listing types; clutch, tote, grab, baby bag, multi-way, across-body, shoulder etc. Aaarghhh stress!
When I told her that my mum had seen a nice black one with a purple doggy on it...she actually rolled her eyes. So not the most helpful of people.
Worth browsing through for some ideas but a bit too expensive really and you can get the exact same produst in department stores around the city...like most of New Cathedral Street really!
Located in the new posh area of Manchester, next to M&S Radley is a designer store which sells leather goods. It is a medium sized modern looking shop (that means lots of lights and glass!!). You may know Radley as it famous for its symbol which is a little dog(!!). This particular store stocks the complete seasonal range of handbags, small leather good (purses etc) and luggage. It is a great shop if you have won the lottery.
