Great service and friendly staff, make sure you stop here for that essentail coffee and hot sandwich before, during, or after your journey.
Food and drink can either be seated at a table or takeout for when the train arrives ready or not, chooo chooo
There is nothing more depressing that commuting by train in the UK. Your destiny constantly lies in the hands of British Rail who seem to welcome delays, cancellations and poor service. There's only one thing that makes travelling by rail more depressing, and that'd the Pumpkin Cafe. Overpriced, bland and ugly, I can think of nothing good to say about this place other than it's conveniently located on the same platform that I catch my train from.
The staff are generally unhelpful, moany and slow, the cost of a simple cup of tea normally amounts to over £2 (and is the temperature of molten lava) and the small choice of snacks are staggeringly expensive. If you have the misfortune of having to wait for a train at Temple Meads, I advise that you venture downstairs to AMT Coffee where it's cheaper, friendlier and tastier.
