This is a great post office. Its location is perfect and easy to get to, it stys open on a saturday. The foreign currancy counters are seprate from the ordinary ones and the staff are super efficient so ques move really quickly.
What can you say about a Post Office. No need to explain what services they provide in any detail. Reasonably new and well laid out
The main advantage of this one is that it is big and so you rarely have to queue for too long. That is a plus in my book !!
It has all of the usual stuff. Staff are mixed good and bad helpful and otherwise.
No comment on prices because they are fixed. All the sundry goods you can definitely get cheaper elsewhere or online.
Overall, if you need a Post Office, this is one !!
I used this place not two days ago to send yet another guitar to a buyer in Liverpool and to be honest I expected a much smoother process.
A few weeks back I sent a guitar with little or no fuss, got my ticket, waited for a few minutes and then dealt with a woman who was friendly and more than helpful. The second trip, not so good...
This is Belfast's biggest post office and one it's main hubs, it's big, has lots of staff and a huge variety of services available.
When I landed down this time things were different. I queued for a mere minute and then was called to the counter. When the young woman behind the counter spied my package (I have realised the euphemistic nature of that but I'll keep it in for whatever level of comic effect it can cause) she looked perturbed.
It was almost as if it was the first time she had ever had to deal with anything as big as a letter or a postal stamp. She brought me down to weigh it, then proceeded to look annoyed and tutted. Asking me why there was no address on it I explained that the last time I was down the woman I dealt with had a professionally printed one which they stick to all packages anyway. Apparently not on this occasion....
She tutted again, looked bemused as she went through the computer, "this won't be able to go with the normal post you know?"... Yes, I know.... it's a guitar and weighs 6kilos....
Anyway, it went on like this for 15minute before all was well. The package hasn't arrived as yet so we'll see quite how effective it was...
Having read the previous post I must admit I am only too familiar with the blank stares and general air of disinterestedness that greets you when you try to post an item outside some of the staffs experience or 'comfort zone'(my partner also refers to this as the 'cant be bothered zone'). Anyway, I'll save my postal service rant for the pub before I get sued...
So, i was in this same post office two days ago and I must admit I was very impressed with the new ticketing system and how quickly and efficiently I was served. The ticket thing was a new thrill for me and I especially liked how it told you how many customers were in front of you at that time. Then again I was doing a simple letter post so I'll reserve proper judgement when I struggle in with a selection of outsized parcels.
Pros: Efficient ticketing system and pleasant staff.
Cons: Not fair to comment.
The best & most efficient post office in belfast. Right near the centre of town & with up to 20 cashiers working at a time! Staff are really lovely & go out of their way to help you. They have a big postal machine for parcels so you dont have to queue. Can have big queues but these move very quickly due to so many staff. Great!
