As a friedrichshainer, I tend to cross Warschauer Straße quite often, and I've never thought about going in, until my friend said it's a really cool place and I should totally check it out
After a long day at the gym, I needed food, and needed it fast, so she took me there- once I got in... The great smell inside made even hungrier than I already was.
I ordered a spaghetti bolognese and my friend had a pomodoro, the guys who work there are really nice and friendly, and the food is served rather quick. With fresh Parmesan on my pasta, and a lot of it!!!
It's all fresh and tasty, and we also got a little fresh tasty bun with Rosemarie and an olive inside! Yummy!
After all this months I live here, I actually regret that I never went in this place...
Pizza Vira is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole world. I never had anything there that wasn't delicious, and in the time I lived in Berlin, I made friends with the guys who run the place. They even offered me a job, in the middle of this recession! I turned it down, don't worry, seeker of objective review. Get the pizza (duh) or the pasta (the other thing they offer) and you'll be amazed that a couple Turkish guys can make better "Italian" food than you could ever get in Rome or NYC. It's a kind of New York style pizza, without the weird splotchy mozzarella that you'd see in Italy. The pasta is finished in its sauce, and the bolognese is really meaty for Europe.
Speaking of objective reviews, I see two five stars were filtered for this place. Dunno why they filtered them and let the 2 star through :P You can take it from me, the five stars are the real deal. Me and my cousin ate there every night as well when he came to stay with me for a week. He even ordered an extra meal the last night we were there so he could have it for breakfast the morning we were leaving.
Very relaxed restaurant. Service yourself. Really good pastas and pizzas. And low priced.
Ok food (I tried pizza). Quick. Honest prices. Highlight: classical music in the background. :-)
