Pierre Hermé

'They' say this is a better macaron than Ladurée. I think people not from Paris would have you believe that so you can try it since the other place that starts with L exists in so many realms now. I however think they are exactly the same and in some instances worse and vice versa. I had gotten a box of four and the little tin is adorable. The first macaron was an olive mandarin combination and it was dry and unpleasant. The others had a good texture. But I surprisingly had the best macarons in Paris at a burlesque show.

I am picky about macaron texture and need a little chew and soft combo. Nothing is worse than a dry crumbling macaron cookie. So in that aspect I have had this happen at both of the 'big' macaron producers in Paris. I think once these go mass production it can be a problem in quality. But you be the judge of that. Try it but don't think you did better than going to the other place. Don't make Paris make you into a snob!

My favorite macaron shop! I love that they have a seasonal menu staples include caramel but the specialties like the ishapan, the passion fruit and the olive oil are all amazing. The staff are really patient as you consider the choices and the shop is super clean / bright!

What's one to say? Pierre Hermé does elegant macarons. So many flavors to try. The macarons are delicate and a delight to the mouth.

Amazing light fluffy macaroons!! I got 2 boxes of 12 and the flavors that stuck out to me were:
ISPAHAN 5/5
* subtle hints of raspberry with a thick rose and letchi/lychee taste!! If you love lychee get this! I like how the rose doesn't overpower any of the flavors and complements the lychee!!
CHAMPS DE MARS 4/5
* if you live black truffle/truffle Noir, you'd love this!! It's a combination of both flavors and is very strong!!
INFINIMENT MANDARINE 5/5
* has mandarine orange and candid orange bits in it!! Sweet and tangy, just how I like it!!

Cool flavors, crispy and spongy cookies. Pretty much just your textbook macarons. Dope flavor: pate and fig.

While the texture is on point, the flavors were definitely lacking. Laduree's flavors are much stronger and the macaroons generally just seem fresher. They did have a large selection of flavors, but the taste just wasn't there for me.

I love macarons and was not going to leave Paris without having any!

Came here with my boyfriend to buy a couple of macarons to share and some chocolate to take home with us. The workers were a bit busy but we were able to get what we wanted and leave.

The macarons were sooo delicious and I'm so happy that i chose to come to Pierre's over the other options since there are a few of them in my hometown of LA.

Highly recommend stopping here for some treats!

We saw a long line during our route home and decided to check it out - instead of getting their famous macaroons we opted for their #1 and #2 popular choices. Both of them are yummy and would defiantly go back in the near future!!

I have to admit that I was a Laduree fan until I came here. The intense flavor, the freshness and the ice cream. You have to come here when you are in Paris. It's the best in my heart now

In my quest to find the best macarons in Paris, I was not disappointed here. I cannot ever eat American made macarons again :(.
