I recently turned to Peak Outdoors when I needed to buy some
gear for a camping trip. Since I hadn't been camping in years I needed to buy
pretty much everything that I needed from them. I was really impressed with
them. They had a good range at good prices so I was able to get everything I
needed without having to re-mortgage the house!
Just got back from the Mansfield store and I am absolutely fuming. The chair that clearly had a fault could not be exchanged for a different model, didn't want another one as even the display model had the same fault, but had to be sent back to the manufacturer. Not much help as we are going away camping this weekend. To make things worse the person in charge had the most condescending attitude and has clearly never in her life been on any form of customer service training. Never ever will i return to this store!
Utterly dreadful service check other major online review websites and market places and you will see a whole history of angry customers who have not received their goods. Mine arrived missing a part then followed a month of trying to get Paul at Peak Outdoors to send it, with continual un-met promises to investigate further, he claimed he posted a replacement, and as for many other customers, the goods didn't turn up as promised and he tried to blame Parcel Force and told ME I was a liar and that I had actually received the goods! He tries the blaming Parcel Force thing a lot according from other customer reviews. Then when I said he must know if he sent my goods as he must have records, he claimed he didn't keep postal records! Either he is losing a lot paying Tax for this deductable business cost or he is lying. Keep away from this shoddy business.
