What a relief to know pets in Cardiff are looked after as well. As far as I'm aware, this is our city's only PDSA PetAid Hospital, offering services that are funded entirely by public support through donations, legacies and other funding activities.
According to their website, PDSA is the UK's leading veterinary charity, caring for more than 350,000 pet patients belonging to people in need. All popular domestic pets are treated, dogs, cats and those described as "small furries".
PDSA Vet Care services are available to pet owners who receive either Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit, and live within a defined catchment area around each PDSA PetAid hospital or practice.
To qualify, pet owners need to live within the defined catchment area of a PDSA PetAid hospital or practice service and be receiving either Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit (other reductions in Council Tax like single person discount, second adult rebate and council tax exemption don't qualify unfortunately).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (paulwh…)London4523 May 2011

I found a little Black kitten a week ago and just could not leave him dead on the road, so I shrouded him (put him an a Tesco carrier) and delivered him to the PDSA who said he would be treated with respect. Thank you!
