Pascal and Debbie run this friendly patisserie, tucked out of sight away from Abingdon town centre.
However, it is well worth seeking out, as this place is an absolute gem.
All the cakes and pastries are made on site by Pascal, and all are far too tasty for their own good, and very reasonably priced! I personally love their almond croissants, which I daren't eat too often!
We asked Debbie and Pascal to make the cake for us for G's 40th birthday - they did an absolutely fantastic job, as you can see from the picture provided. Absolute 'genocide by chocolate', for a very reasonable £40!
I can't recommend this place highly enough. Lovely people, amazing cakes. If they did coffee and had seating, you would never get me out of it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (fluffy…)Abingdon, Oxfordshire35017 Nov 2008
Patisserie Pascal is certainly a treat for the eyes. It's a little bit tucked away, so when you come across it you'll feel like you've found a treasure.
There are so many tasty and beautiful treats on display that you will be spoiled for choice. There's cakes and biscuits and savoury items too - my hubby loves the cheese and ham croissants for lunch if we're out and about.
And there's chocolates too what more could you ask for? Well, it would be nice if they stuck to their opening hours. Several times we made a special trip there, only to find the store was closed when it should be open - and there was no note in the window to explain the closure.
That aside, if you're looking for fancy cakes and chocs in Abingdon then they are certainly worth a visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (rogera…)Oxford0631 Dec 2009
I agree with all the other comments about this great patisserie. Well worth travelling for!
And do coffee too -you have the space!!
Forget about going to Tesco again and check out these local shops and Abingdon shopping will become great again.
On that note, it was so sad to see Frugal Foods close down recently 'cos everyone chose to go to Holland and Barrett...Why??Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nick B.Abingdon, Oxfordshire0444 Nov 2009First to Review
An amazing little find, tucked towards the back of the town centre. Early opening hours mean that you can pop out in the morning (talking weekends here) and grab yourself a spot of luxury. Most definitely worth a visit.

How can anybody resist their pastries & cakes ?
They are to die for. So glad they moved from North Oxford to Abingdon so now I don't have to go all the way to Summertown
Agree with the previews reviews, would be great to have a couple of bistro tables in there.
Simply the best place to get fresh bread & proper pastry/cakesHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (Gerard…)Abingdon, Oxfordshire0122 Nov 2008
Having enjoyed Pascal and Debbie's efforts in Summertown I now make the trip to Abingdon, I am so pleased that they are now once again open to delight their customers. The 'torpedo' shaped bread is wonderful and the ham quiche probably the best anywhere. Pascal's croissants are certainly the best I have ever tasted and better than anywhere I've been in France. Truly worth a visit if you like top quality at very good prices.

Pascal is a genius ,his quiches are truely worldclass. Everything in the shop is so teasty.
