Paragon interchange has a Really nice atmosphere, Which is good considering this is the first impression of Hull they get from Arriving either on Bus or By Train.
There are a few nice little shops such as Newsagents' and a WHSmith.
the Buses and Trains are usually on time and are relatively Cheap !
Much better than the old train and bus stations, you can now change without getting completely soaked if it's raining.
However, it is freezing in cold weather, and as stated before you need to be very careful on the crossings outside!
Opened September 2007 which took three years to develop is the main transport link in an out of Hull for buses, coaches and trains.
I think they've tried to fit this in with the bus station and train station in Leeds with the concave automatic doors resembling those in the bus station.
There are several shops, a ticket sales office and a waiting room.
it is lighter and airer and does look better than the old bus station and it's been fitted with information points which shows times of the trains in and out of Hull and several up and down where the buses are displaying when the next bus is and which bay it will be departing from.
Right next door to Royal Hotel and St Stephens - it's design is in keeping with the St Stephens shopping centre, but looks slightly odd nest to the hotel and premire house which is an old building.
There have been problems with the interchange with several accidents over the last year - unfortuantely two of those peple died.
So nicer and easier to use but a word of the wise for anyone using the interchange is just be careful and definately wait until it is safe to cross the road in that area.
A lot better than the old bus station! It's much smarter looking and even has several shops if you are feeling peckish or would like a magazine etc. Some of the ques get pretty big at times but this is mostly due to poorly run bus services... Oh and it's a bit chilly in winter so wrap up warm!!
Although the building and passenger facilities are excellent i have only given four stars as for some reason the poor bus drivers have such a small forecourt to park on that they have to reverse out. Also there are buses going in & out willy nilly all over the place. Obviously buses were not considered important when this place was designed.
