This is a welcome addition to Hamlet Court Road. It is a classy wine bar that also provides food. The standard of the food is quite good, even for a large party. Attention is paid to detail like presentation and layout. Service is good and the staff are relaxed and prepared to enjoy the evening with you.
The biggest downside is that at busy times the dance floor is unbearably crowded downstairs and can actually put you off wanting to join in. The music is good, just a shame there is so little space.
The toilets are upstairs and are of a high quality. There is also disable access to toilets downstairs.
A nice bar to grab a drink or two with your friends, but it's not as high-class as it likes to think it is, (having worked down Hamles Court road, I'd say "working class" would be an upgrade).
Anyhow, the staff are always polite and efficient, though some of them can seem a little ditsy, in that they don't forget your order, but just how you asked for it, which is very rare.
As always, what does deter from it is that it is down Hamlet Court road, a place where not even the parking meter's work, so the chavvy surroundings does bring down the mood of the bar a bit, but it still manages to keep it's neck above the water.
It's a good place to go with your mates, but I wouldn't recommend taking your girlfriend if you're trying to impress her.
A modern bar owned and run by Tony. Based half way down Hamlet Court Road a place becoming known for it's quality eateries.
The menu is very good and reasonably priced
The staff are very attentive
The occasional footie game will be shown on the TV above the bar
The mezzanine provides a unique view of Hamlet Court Road
This must be the only bar with a built in sun roof, look up next time you are in.
Good place to take a lady on a date before a show at the theatre or after
Good place to impress the boss, or visitors to the town you might be showing around
The beer can be a bit gassy
The toilets are upstairs, although a disabled loo downstairs is often used for those who can't be bothered to climb the flight.
If eating upstairs your food can be passed through a very crowded bar which is unavoidable but can be a little disconcerting.
The TV above the bar is permanently tuned to MTV with the sound off.
Nice trendy bar with decent food upstairs on Hamlet court road in Westcliff and close to more restuarants and pubs.
this is an upmarket, well presented, and trendy bar with the added bonus of restaurant facilities, (which you would not know from just looing at the place) with a dress code of smart dressed.
the staff are professional and well presented, with a good manner too.
the drinks can be a bit expensive, depending on what you order, the food is nice but again, it can be a bit pricey.
the atmosphere is clean, friendly and much more upmarket than other bars and pubs in the area, which makes a nice change from the usual bars you have around here.
I've eaten at Paparazzi on a number of occasions for events and the staff and food have always been first class. My first experience was a wedding reception and everything was freshly made and the staff were well organised. I can't fault anything at allthe cost, atmosphere and service have all been that to rival a London eaterie!
Nice setting on popular shopping road. There's a few food places along here that also cater for the lunchtime trade but Paparazzi are the best. Staff all well presented and service is good.
