FOOD: I thought that the burgers and chips here were nothing special. Regular pub food. Food is bit pricey though but its what to expect from a Cambridge pub.
BEER: Got a few ales on tap here that they switch up from time to time. Leffe and Hoegaarden on tap to which I love.
ATMOSPHERE: This pub is great for its second room which is like a living room with a big fireplace, dim lights, lots of sofas. Pretty chill. I would recommend the Panton Arms to anyone just because of this great room! The Panton Arms also has a nice outdoor patio which is nice when the whether is good.
Don't go here unless you want to feel like you've been ripped off. This place is only in business because of their location. There is nothing else good about it. We used to go here more, but stopped going because the atmosphere is really boring. The service is poor and the food is extortionate. Yesterday we gave it a try again, and the experience was one of the worst. Unfriendly, got my order wrong and insisted it was right - then said it would be 20 minutes to replace or instead I could have a refund. No effort to make customers feel welcome.
Although from the name this pub it sounds like they don't know how to dress themselves, they do know how to run a nice pub off the beaten track.
I'm not sure where this place gets it's customers from, because although it is only 10 minutes from the station and near a couple of main roads, it is basically hidden in a lovely residential area.
We were glad we made the effort. It is a Greene King pub that serves some good ale and the outside area has nice big round tables and doubles the size of the pub. Definitely a good place to know about.
A great little local pub hidden down panton street, very welcoming despite being down a residential street.
The bar is unusually at the back so when you look in it will always look quiet. In the front room is a big lounge with lots of big leather chairs and sofa's to unwind with your drink, or there is a nice open yard to sit in and enjoy the sun.
A really nice little find and great for a drink on the walk home from town or a lovelt freindly local.
This pub saved me during the Rugby World Cup - it had some chairs, and it was serving food! So I owe it big.
Its a bit tucked away, but worth the wander down if you're in the area.
The nachos here are surprising great, with tons of stuff on. Sometimes, thats all that matters
There are two rooms, and the furniture is a bit random, but its definitely comfy and pretty bright inside.
