We spent the day in the city and this was a great way to end the day. We had amazing service despite a large party at the pub. The entire staff was attentive to us and made sure we had a good meal.
The food and drink was great. We got the patatas bravas and pork belly and would order those again in a heart beat. Top it off was the reasonable price on the whole meal. Highly recommend.
This used to be the stock place for my football team after a hard match.
It's a good place to watch football and the food is decent.
I stumbled upon this pub entirely by chance. It was cold, rainy and i wanted to find a pub to watch the 6 Nations rugby. While wondering down a side street, i spotted a pub sign and thought id stick my head in. little did i know that an extremely popular Oxford varsity sports pub was waiting for me. With comfy leather couches and large tv screens scattered around the places, the 'blue' made for a great places to get in out of the cold, have a Sunday roast and watch the rugby. My only criticism is that it seems a trifle much to be paying £10 for a Sunday roast.
What a great little pub. Nice staff, good selection of beer. Nice and quiet. I love a pub that gets all the Sunday papers and puts them out for their guests. We had a superb Sunday roast here, good pork, excellent Yorkshire pudding, vegetables, etc. All for under £8.
Stumbled upon this pub looking for a drink before an Oxford University rugby fixture at Iffley road. I was pleasantly suprised by my experience with a really friendly atmosphere. The food was particually good (Spicy Lamb Burger) and with three real ales on offer to wash down the food, I was in heaven. It has a real "traditional feel" with various signed rugby jerseys, rowing oars and other artefacts. It is also a perfect place to watch sport on TV with comfortable couches and a guaranteed atmosphere. In the summer it has a cheeky beer garden tucked away at the rear of the pub. A real Oxford experience!

Formerly the sports pub known as The Radcliffe Arms, "The Blue" has been transformed into a veritable foodie h(e)aven! Chef Mark Bradbury stands by his seasonal masterpieces as he did on the London circuit. In our first year, we've already gained a loyal customer base that came for the food and stayed for the atmosphere!
