This is a pretty cool shop with very well chosen and inventive items that I haven't seen anywhere else, and a price range from £8 to £800, so there truly is something for everyone here if you're stuck for Christmas gits. How about an alarm clock on wheels that runs away from you in the mornings? No? Okay, how about a bible that really holds a flask inside for a sneaky sip or two on the pew this Sunday?
There are some more useful objects like a foldaway colander and chain wine holder. Furniture is sleek and modern too, you'll definitely not find these pieces anywhere else.
Located in the heart of Old Spitalfields Market: shop for Calligaris, Fama, Minifroms and lots more.
OneDeko also have a wonderful selection of lighting and home accessories.
OneDeko has some interesting pieces of furniture for relatively competitive prices. They have an assortment of modern furnishings and cool gadgets for your home including lovely lacquered Italian furniture from well-known brands such as Calligaris. But, there is no real reason to shop there over any other furniture shop--Most everything they stock can be found in many other shops across London (some of these shops can even be found on the same road just a few doors down).
For me, the shopping experience at OneDeko is quite unpleasant. The manager is a sales guy in the worst possible sense--always trying to see just how much he can get out of you, threatening that he may not have another one at that price and generally making you feel like if you don't buy something straight away you are a waste of his time and energy. I know we're in hard economic times now, but making me feel guilty and pressured won't help you make a sale, it will just make me write an unfavourable review.
Since most (if not all) of the pieces aren't unique and the selling environment is less than ideal, I'm just not motivated to pull out my wallet at OneDeko.
I agree with other reviewers that this interior design shop has fabulous products. Unfortunately, the manager/owner/whatever is absolutely horrible if not offensive to customers. We ordered a product from the store and every interaction with this individual has been disappointing. He was offensive to my partner, forgot about our delivery, had to reschedule and then blamed it on us. I may have high expectations for customer service but this experience doesn't even pass the average mark.
NOTE: After I posted this review, our sofa was delivered. The gentlemen that delivered it were amazing and even helped me better position the sofa in our room. If these two men ran the business, I would put my rating at 4 stars. I hope they are paid well :)
One Deko is a very gorgeous interior shop. It's packed with couches, stylish dining tables and designer chairs. It's the smaller stuff, lamps, mirrors, interesting shelving, cushions and interior nik-nacks that inspire me.
They're definitely not cheap but they do have sales and clearance product "bargains". It's also a good place to buy gifts.
This is a fun interior design shop, in it they house furniture with a pop art, 60s retro feel and gadgets for home. Sounds familiar, yes there are a couple of shops in the block that have the same kind of merchandise, but this one has a difference that makes it the best, the reason, it is affordable. I'm serious, they have a variety of items that can be bought and admired afterwards at home. I love the Onion Dogs, they come in different fun colors and they glow! They come with a light bulb, its the coolest and cheapest way to give a pick me up to a dull room. And at £59.00 each it's a great price. I bough one of the doggies for my boyfriend and he loved it, now he wants to get the small ones and have a bunch of glow in the dark, no bark pups.
One Deko is a fascinating furniture store with lots of sleek, modern pieces. They sell Kartell wares (like children's chairs for £57 a pop) and lots of other really fun and good-looking pieces. Most everything in here is expensive (£400 sofa beds and £250 rugs), but I did manage to find some really cool small items that would add some flair to your home interior. I found a key holder shaped like a key for £8 and a terrorist teapot shrouded in a black robber's mask for £20. The staff in here are super cool. They know everything about their products and are super keen on helping you out with your shopping experience.
I'm really surprised to read all the negative opinions about the staff in One Deko as my shopping experience with there is very different. I've popped in a couple of times as I live nearby and they were always very friendly and helpful. It's true, it's not the cheapest shop, but their selection of tables and funky chairs and armchairs is pretty impressive. They're on sale till the end of the month, so it's a good occasion to save a couple hundred pounds.
What a shopping experience. I found onedeko on line at onedeko.co.uk I have been going to Spitalfields market for years and never new it was there! Well now I know and now I think they know me! I am in there all the time. Great place to go for inspiration. There stock changes all the time. I joined there mailing list and they send through monthly promotions. Thank you OneDeko I love my Sofa Bed
In a world of faceless online retailers in hard to reach destinations, OneDeko is refreshingly different.
