Olivier Morosini is owned by the French guy with Italian heritage. Even if you didn't spot any of that in his name, the emblem of his shop - a cute smiling frog - will point you in the right direction.
The business in a small salon in Tib St started in 2005. At the time I worked in Tib St myself and visited it a lot, and we've been nodding since. And it still took me until 2009 to visit his salon, but the result was impressive: I had the best haircut in years.
What is noticeable is that they have managed to assemble a good clientele. Needless to say, this didn't happen overnight, but every time I go past the salon it is crowded, which in itself is a good proof that Olivier Morosini does a very good job at making Manchester women look and feel beautiful in their hair.
I'll start with the good : immediately you feel welcome here, and the staff (every one of them!)are friendly and attentive.
I feel bad complaining because everyone was so nice, butI came out not liking my hair much. My once red/coppery hair is now a depressing shade of brown, defintely not the summery copper colour I picked from the swatches. It's hard to complain though when the staff are all saying what a nice shade it is.. I just happen to disagree!
It still gets a high score as I felt the cut was good and the overall atmosphere really put it a 'cut' above other city centre hairdressers (sorry, couldn't resist.)
