The ocean pleasure beach is like many other seaside fairgrounds that you see by the sea lol.
The size is small to medium and the range of rides is suprisingly good. The pices are also quite good especially if u pick up the cards from the fair itself getting you £25 worth of vouchers for £15.
The kids love going to the fair during the summer months and also any visitors we have over the summer also enjoy going to the fair.
It has a wide range of amusements and also a bowling alley and also soon it will have a pirates play land for the kids to enjoy.
This is an amusements arcade located next to the main fairground in South Shields. It is often plagued by chavs (though they are an integral part of British society and I guess there's nothing you can do to get rid of them!) which is a shame really. It has all the typical things you'd find in an amusements such as fruit machines, etc etc.
They have a small kiosk which sells fish and chips which are very nice, and also sells other typically fairground snacks like candyfloss. I believe they are currently working on installing a new bowling alley in fact it may already be finished which should attract a wider audience to the area.
This isn't a massive Place like Blackpool pleasure beach or anything, more of a fair with rides like Bumper Cars, Waltzers, a small rollercoaster, hook a duck and 3 or 4 small arcades with Teddy Machines etc.
There is also a couple of cafes on site, and a fish and chip shop. Also there is the Dunes arcade which as a Bowling Alley and Bar Restaurant that does reasonable priced pub food off the specials board and good priced kids meals.
The Fair is also attached to the Pier if you fancy a nice stroll, the beach is also quite clean here.
Over the road from Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is a lovely park with large boating lake.
Great day out if we have the weather. You could spend a fortune but a great time if you want to go out with friends or family. Its just opposite the park and next to a street full of different restaurants.
I used to spend a lot a time here as a child my grand parents had a caravan here and i have had many hours of fun. It has changed a bit since then but still plenty to do.
There is many prize bingo clubs and rides for the children and roller coaster which you need tokens for.
There are many hook the duck and shooting stalls to win teddys and various slot machine arcades.
When you want a brake from all the fun there is plenty of places to grap yourself a bite to eat hotdogs/fish and chips.
This park is right on the edge of the beach so not to far to go for a dip and just over the road there is a large park with boating lake and miniture train for the kids to ride around the park on i never used to want to go home until i had had my ice cream and my ride on the train.
There is also a large play area and outdoor pool in the summer.
good fun but not to high tech!!!
really good day out if you get good weather, something for all ages!
