As a healthcare professional, I used to experience constant stress and a lack of focus. Searching for a solution, I turned to coaching, as traditional therapy or counselling didn't yield results for me in the past. My goal was to embark on a self-improvement journey, and I sought someone who understood my challenges and provided expert guidance. Little did I know that I would gain far more than I anticipated!

I came across Annie's name and website when I was going through a pivotal moment in my life. Annie was my first life coach, and although I had no idea what to expect I knew the experience would be different. What I was doing on my own, at home and work, was not working and so I decided to try something different by reaching out to a professional. Someone who could give me honest, and professional advice.
I have been with my employer for over 15 years, and I was searching for answers as to why I had not progressed in my career. I was also going through some family struggles, and questioned my ability to be a leader and an effective communicator. Annie, recognized the patterns and offered advice, and constructive feedback. Over time, and after doing the work, I realized a lot of the reasons for my issues were my own thoughts. She encouraged me to think differently, to pray on my thoughts and dreams, to journal my goals and emotions, but most importantly she taught me how to give myself grace. At the beginning of our journey, I asked her if she thought I was going to land another job opportunity by the end of our sessions, and she said she couldn't answer that. It was up to me and the universe to answer that question. Three months later, I didn't find another career opportunity yet, but I have been on quite a few job interviews, and refreshed my interview skills. Additionally, I continue to receive notifications of potential job opportunities and connections to meet new people, which I'm thankful for. The lesson, don't put a date as to when things should happen, just go with the flow and be receptive to the signs. This journey has allowed me to recall all the contributions I made thus far, and it has enabled me to remind myself that I am worthy, and that I can do hard things once I overcome my fears. Sometimes it's our own perspective preventing us from growth and joy.
