I quite like New Look, although they are and miss at times.
If you have a good eye for clothes, which I'd like to think I do, then you'll be able to pick something cool up here. They have a lot of nice basic tops and t-shirts as well as some pretty casual dresses.
You have to be careful though as some of the clothes can look rather cheap. You can get some great copies of catwalk looks here for way cheaper. I got a sixties leopard print coat here last week for £35, which was £100 across the road in Lipsy- score!
One of the downsides of this store is that they play really crap music really loudly! Dancey shit or really cringey lovey dovey shit. This wrecks my head and I have hurried out of a changing room in here before cause the music was driving me nuts, why does it have to be so loud? But that's just me.
Staff here are grand, don't forget to ask for the student discount.
I have been dragged into New Look by my esteemed lady more times than I can care to imagine, but I resent it less than most clothe stores for the reason that my lady actually enjoys it in here and is able to get stylish clothes in her size ten which saves me a lot of ear ache!
This New look store is located on the main shopping street in the centre of Belfast and is absolutely massive, located over three floors. New look specialises in proving reasonably priced and good quality imitations of the latest celebrity and designer clothes at reasonable prices, which has to be admired.
Other aspects that I want to compliment them on is their student friendly nature, as they always have special events giving students up to 20% off, as well as giving 10% all year which gives great value. The store has a huge range of clothes providing a huge range of normal t-shirts, jackets, jeans and skirts, as well as plus sized ranges, maternity wear, ranges for younger girls and remarkably a male section for poor saps like me to get themselves sorted whilst their female companion gazes longingly through the extensive shoe section! At least that has been my experience!
To conclude, you want to acquire a new look at a reasonable price, look no further!
Most people think of New Look as a woman's only shop however they do stock men's clothes even if it is only a very small proportion in comparison to the vast range of women's clothes.
This kind of annoys me as I don't see why women should have more choice than us men (damn feminism!). I think it is for this reason that I'd pick Burtons over New Look as it is only men's clothes shop and they do pretty much the same styles.
I recently came here to stock up on some essential clothes for going back to university this year. They have their traditional offer of 3 for £12 on t-shirts but what I've noticed is that a lot of people have bought into this idea so everybody has ended up wearing the same t-shirts.
If you're looking for casual clothes I think this place is alright but in my opinion I believe the place is more aimed at women and men's clothes was a mere after thought so for that reason I try to avoid this place unless there is some eye-catching bargain on.
I have been in here lots of times and a friend of mine used to work in here. That is to say that I kinda know what the deal is with New Look and I think is just about ok.
It can be a little bit cheap feeling at times I think. I'm not a huge fan or this place if I'm honest. None of the clothes are all that nice in my humble opinion, they're just a bit trying to hard to be trendy and there is no real style about the place at all. In all honesty, you may as well just go to Top Shop.
This place does have one thing going for it, and that is the location. It is easy to get to, and is surrounded by all sorts of other shops so it is nice and convenient.
I have been dragged here on many an occasion by some evil friends looking to indulge themselves in their passion for shopping. Inconsiderate gits they are! I honestly think the clothes in this place are terrible. They are to bright or look like they came straight off the back of a hooker.
Still, sometimes, my friends have came out with something that looks quite good. So maybe the chance of actually getting something that can be worn in public is reason enough to keep popping in and having a rummage around.
This is great clothing shop for (mostly) ladies fashion however they have recently expanded to selling men's clothing as well. In New Look you can find High St versions of designer fashion and usually for a pretty good price. This branch in Belfast is huge; it's spread over three floors so manages to pack a fair bit in. Head here if you're after some fashionable yet affordable clothing which is good quality and well last well, but you don't want to spend o.t.t. prices. New Look also sell a good range of maternity clothing as well as a 'tall' range so it's a good shop for all people. As well as this they have a petite range as well as a plus size range. They also offer student discount, if you're lucky enough to have a student card, come on down, what's stopping you! There's something here for all budgets.
