I totally agree with the last writer's review that I've read. New & Lingwood always seem to have something very fancy, full of colour and all of their designs appear to be very interesting.
All of the New & Lingwood cufflinks are from Deakin & Francis and they are all made in Birmingham.
Deakin & Francis is an upscale cufflink firm, for more information please visit  deakinandfrancis.co.uk

This shop is what I would call the "Toffs' Paradise"...

New & Lingwood are famous for kitting out the Eton schoolboys with everything from rugby shirts to morning coats. And for some reason they also seem to have an affiliation with the Oxford and Cambridge boat clubs. And as they say, get your customers young and they will stay with you for the rest of their days.

The Jermyn Street shop is fairly small and extends over two floors as well as a tiny shirt and tie shop on the other side of Piccadilly Arcade. They provide all the stereotypical British goods that foreigners come to London to buy: Covert Coats with velvet collars, colourful socks, preppy ties and cufflinks, tweed jackets and nightwear.

I particularly like their range of shoes. Although N & L no longer manufacture their own shoes and also stopped to provide bespoke footwear, their shoes made in Britain by Alfred Sargent and Crockett & Jones are not only well-made, but they also look very elegant and classic.

Apart from all their ready-to-wear items, N & L provide a bespoke shirt service taken care of by Sean O'Flynn who is now also working from his own premises and also handles the shirt business for H. Huntsman on Savile Row. They have an extensive range of cloth for their shirtings, and the craftmanship is quite remarkable. I have been more than happy with my bespoke N & L shirts for the last years (although I must admit that I have now started to cut them out by going to Sean directly).

One of the best of the tradition mens outfitters on Jermyn street. A good range of shirts, but also good quality coats, jackets and accessories. Upstairs is one of the better classic mens shoe shops on the street. Buy one of the umbrellas for £40 and don't leave it on the tube!

New & Lingwood make some of the best traditional English shirts available. While not as well known as Turnbull & Asser, I almost prefer them- the material is 100% Egyptian cotton and they are oh so comfortable.
